It is with great dismay did I write this review because I initially fell in love with this restaurant, when I was exploring with my wife when we were hungry on a rainy Saturday afternoon. We ordered our food and was happy with the service, no issues at all! The Rueben is delicious. So delicious that we came again to the beacon on a Saturday, excited to once again have some delicious sandwiches. It was closed for some reason. No worries! We enjoyed the sandwiches so much we came again. We had the same waitress as last time but her demeanor changed. She asked for an ID for my 38 year old wife whom she did not ID last time. Refused a picture on her phone. Fine whatever. No refill offers this time. The waitress that was welcoming completely soured on us for no reason. To make matters worse the prices didn't match the menu. I didnt address it. I paid my bill, tipped and left. Within 3 visits we went from excited to find the place to never wanting to go again. I found a different rueben place.

Happened upon this place in the middle of nowhere and decides to give it a try. Have to say one of the best reubens I've had and great onion rings. Also tried the chicken cheese steak with rave reviews. Hopefully I'll have a reason to be in the middle of nowhere again!

I’ve been by this place since 1986 and never stopped. I stopped today for the first time to meet a very professional and friendly bartender Emma. She not only was friendly but kept the three customers and myself entertained while I waited for my food. Getting back to the lake house, the food was not only delicious but great portions! I recommend this establishment to all who pass by. Stop in and enjoy good service and good food! Signed Bill from outside Philly.

Cozy place. Bar area has 12-15 seats and about 5 tables, there is a separate dining room that always seems busy, we prefer the bar area. Menu was recently updated with current prices. Everything we've had has been delicious from bar food to prime rib - (I believe Saturday nights only). Campfire dinners are wonderful. Bartenders/Wait Staff are friendly and attentive. We've been going there about 4 years and staffing rarely changes indicating that they enjoy working there.
We have never had a bad meal here , the wait staff are always friendly and attentive to our needs. Just a very nice place to ride the sxs to and have a cocktail and a meal.
