“Such a great place to visit while in Union Dale. The owners are amazing and full of hospitality. Lots of scratch made items that are incredible. Ask to try the Jalapeno and Jameson shot, or some of the home made wing sauces using local ingredients. The dice game to pick your beer is fun with a few friends! Live music on weekends is a big plus. This is our new goto place for sure!”

“So after seeing the great review,s on this place, I had to go & try it myself! Gotta say, buying hibachi from a gas station seems kinda weird. BUT...DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN! I got the Steak & Shrimp with noodles, the servings were huge, and OH SO GOOD! Everything was cooked perfectly. The one thing that I was bummed out about was there wasn't as many veggies as I like. Next time I'll get a side of veggies to fix that. The sauces are wonderful, and complemented the meal perfectly. The staff were kind, and super friendly. The best part was the owner, Pierre, personally delivered our take out to our car and chatted as if he knew me for 30 years. What a gentleman and what a great dinner. We will return!”

“We order from here at least a couple times a month. My husband is seriously hooked on the piggies (aka stuffed cabbage). I've tried a lot of things on the menu and the only thing that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed is the drop noodles. I'd never had them before and they just weren't for me. I think they'd probably go over well for someone who grew up on them. Anyway. The pizza is excellent. The pierogies are fresh and fantastic, with so many filling options! I'm partial to the chili dog pierogies but those are only available sometimes. Check out Facebook for their specials. They have specials every week, including items not typically on the menu and special pierogi options. There are tables for dine-in but this place thrives on carry-out. 3% charge for paying with a card.”

“They have the best Chinese food in a 50 mile radius. They always remember what I ordered last time and make it to perfection. My wife loves this place. I stop on the way home once a week and order their chicken with vegetables spicy hot. You have to try it they are fantastic.”

“The ice cream is always phenomenal, and the amount you get is great for the price. The first time I ate here, we also ordered chili burgers with cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. The second time (with new owners), the chili was good, but the burger was dry, hard, and tasted like sawdust. I'll probably try the chili burger one more time to see if this was a one-time thing or if the food is just not good anymore. I'd still recommend this place for ice cream, though.”

“Wrangler BBQ Pit "season" is my FAVORITE time of year!! Car shows every Thursday & the best BBQ'd flesh since Kundlas. And I don't give that compliment out lightly. And Amy makes AMAZING margaritas!!! Extensive, beautifully maintained grounds with multiple levels, each containing dining &/or lounging areas with impressive natural features like wooden bridges with delightfully babbling brooks &there's even a large stone doorway to... who knows? “Couldn't be more exquisite! I just went to dinner there so I can't comment on rooms. I say the location is excellent because they have outdoor dining overlooking the lake. But if you're just going for dinner it's about a 35 minute ride from Scranton, but well worth the drive, as there is no other place like it locally.The staff is utterly attentive. It's also beautiful overlooking the lake while the sun sets. Most importantly is the food. There was a group of us getting together as we went through school with everyone. We chose a five course dinner. Each dish was excellent. Served in a perfectly timed manner. There were several meat dishes which were extremely delicious. All dishes we had were as well. The cost for each of us was $90.00 for five courses. Very fair price for quality dishes.Also, it's so refreshing sitting outside close to the water. It creates a beautiful environment while dining. We ended up staying quite a long time, it may have been past closing, yet they never made us feel uncomfortable and never rushed us. If I had to choose among other restaurants, I would choose dining there above all other places. Perfect for special occasions.Food & drinks: As I stated, the food is five stars. There is also a bar on the deck so you never had to wait.Noteworthy details: Again, dining outside overlooking Crystal Lake is simply outstanding.”

First off the place is huge but given how it's laid out it feels intimate, the food is always great and it's a real gem for that area. LO mein was delicious Snrimp Egg foo young ..delicious ask for flat not chucky. General chicken good. I wish they offered the General shrimp on delivery menu . We pick up bi weekly or monthly from here yet I hv not asked if they can do the generals shrimp in a brown garlic sauce as that is fabulous and my go to. If I don't stick with veggies. Try and Enjoy! We were bicycling the nearby rail trail and wanted to stop at Forest City.We ordered an Italian sub and a meatball parmesan sub. Ingredients are high quality Boars Head cold cuts and homemade meatballs and sub rolls. Two of us split to try them both.Service was friendly with both our preparer and the owner Janine conversing with us. Excellent quality at reasonable prices. Also try their other restaurant nearby, K & J' Kitchen. A great find.”

“I hosted a 60th Birthday Party yesterday in Jake’s private front room / large enough for our 50 guests. We served wings, baked ziti, chicken cutlets, chicken marinara, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, the lakefront view of Elk Lake, and the casual, relaxed, and clean atmosphere.Many friends stayed through the evening to enjoy drinks, live music, and a little pool in the main bar area.I highly recommend checking Jake’s out for your next event!”
