“Such a great place to visit while in Union Dale. The owners are amazing and full of hospitality. Lots of scratch made items that are incredible. Ask to try the Jalapeno and Jameson shot, or some of the home made wing sauces using local ingredients. The dice game to pick your beer is fun with a few friends! Live music on weekends is a big plus. This is our new goto place for sure!”

“The ice cream is always phenomenal, and the amount you get is great for the price. The first time I ate here, we also ordered chili burgers with cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. The second time (with new owners), the chili was good, but the burger was dry, hard, and tasted like sawdust. I'll probably try the chili burger one more time to see if this was a one-time thing or if the food is just not good anymore. I'd still recommend this place for ice cream, though.”

“Stopped here for lunch on recommendation of Paul, the florist next door. We were bicycling the nearby rail trail and wanted to stop at Forest City.We ordered an Italian sub and a meatball parmesan sub. Ingredients are high quality Boars Head cold cuts and homemade meatballs and sub rolls. Two of us split to try them both.Service was friendly with both our preparer and the owner Janine conversing with us. Excellent quality at reasonable prices. Also try their other restaurant nearby, K & J' Kitchen. A great find.”

“Had my wedding catered this past weekend and everyone is still raving about the food!We got the linguini with white clam sauce, chicken parm, tortellini with sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts, Chicken francese, tomato mozzarella and basil salad, roasted potatoes, and bruschetta!Can’t beat the price either!”

“Been coming here for years, and apart from a couple of times of a slightly messed up order, always been satisfied. It's the kind of food you know you're going to get, with friendly staff.I primarily get sweet and sour options (albeit I don't like the sauce that comes with it, so basically battered popcorn chicken/pork/shrimp), but branch out for variation. Nothing is actually really spicy, which I chalk mainly up to trying to cater to general tastes.In my opinion, portions are quite generous. I never order large, and typically have enough left over for a meal the next day. It helps that I typically order extra vegetables, because defying my experiences just steamed vegetables here are cooked far better than most diners or restaurants I've been to.My only real downside is that there's no delivery, but not like I can view them negatively for it. Overall, just a typical American Chinese food place, friendly staff, good food. You know what you're getting, and nothing wrong with what it is.”

Every cake we tasted for our wedding was Fantastic, moist, and left us excited to taste the next. I am excited to see the finished product for our wedding. “This is a really special American restaurant. The food is very good. There is care in most every dish. Some of the dishes have a very unique and total commitment from scratch. A lot of older people here are sort of crumbing it up, I’m jk. Their grilled portobello mushroom sandwich was a big reason why I started cooking myself over ten years ago and wanting to study hobby culinary. If you can make a mushroom taste that good in place of meat, the wheels are turning.”

“We went here for the first time last night. The food was good. The waiter was polite, prompt, but overwhelmed. Dining here was difficult. There are too many tables packed in one small room. We not only had to get up from our table if the neighboring table had to use the bathroom, but we had to get up so that the waiter can deliver food and clear dishes from the tables around us. We were not the only table having to do this. It ruined the whole dining experience. There were so many tables packed in the dining room that you couldn’t even open the door all the way to enter or exit the restaurant. Less tables would help this restaurant run more efficiently and improve the dining experience.”

“We used mustard seed cafe to cater our wedding recently and they were the best! The food was phenomenal and the staff was so wonderful. I’m so glad we chose the mustard seed to be a part of our day.”

“So after seeing the great review,s on this place, I had to go & try it myself! Gotta say, buying hibachi from a gas station seems kinda weird. BUT...DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN! I got the Steak & Shrimp with noodles, the servings were huge, and OH SO GOOD! Everything was cooked perfectly. The one thing that I was bummed out about was there wasn't as many veggies as I like. Next time I'll get a side of veggies to fix that. The sauces are wonderful, and complemented the meal perfectly. The staff were kind, and super friendly. I recommend trying this spot out, it's definitely some great food!”

“We order from here at least a couple times a month. My husband is seriously hooked on the piggies (aka stuffed cabbage). I've tried a lot of things on the menu and the only thing that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed is the drop noodles. I'd never had them before and they just weren't for me. I think they'd probably go over well for someone who grew up on them. Anyway. The pizza is excellent. The pierogies are fresh and fantastic, with so many filling options! I'm partial to the chili dog pierogies but those are only available sometimes. Check out Facebook for their specials. They have specials every week, including items not typically on the menu and special pierogi options. There are tables for dine-in but this place thrives on carry-out. 3% charge for paying with a card.”

The best part was the owner, Pierre, personally delivered our take out to our car and chatted as if he knew me for 30 years. What a gentleman and what a great dinner. We will return!”

“They have the best Chinese food in a 50 mile radius. They always remember what I ordered last time and make it to perfection. My wife loves this place. I stop on the way home once a week and order their chicken with vegetables spicy hot. You have to try it they are fantastic.”

“Wrangler BBQ Pit "season" is my FAVORITE time of year!! Car shows every Thursday & the best BBQ'd flesh since Kundlas. And I don't give that compliment out lightly. And Amy makes AMAZING margaritas!!! Extensive, beautifully maintained grounds with multiple levels, each containing dining &/or lounging areas with impressive natural features like wooden bridges with delightfully babbling brooks &there's even a large stone doorway to... who knows? Lol A true community treasure :))Parking: Very large gravel parking area by the restaurant. Car Show nights, when that fills, there are like 3 or 4 additional big fields to park in”

“I love Frank's Place, I always stop by for a meal when I am heading home from the Wayne County area. First off the place is huge but given how it's laid out it feels intimate, the food is always great and it's a real gem for that area. If you are thinking of going out don't hesitate to check this place out. I travel out of my way to go there because it's so good.”

“The Peanut Bar is one of my favorite places to visit in Carbondale. It's the "go to place" if you're looking for something to do or a good crowd to hang out with. The staff and bartenders are very kind and personable. Also, the Sweet and Spicy burger is one of my menu favorites. It has candied jalapeños, bacon, cheddar cheese, frizzled onions, and hot honey sauce on it. Get it with the hand cut fries and it is perfection! I highly recommend stopping in here and trying the food or any of their specialty drinks. I might have to go tonight because now I am thinking about the burger after writing this review. Haha. If this isn't for you, then take a short walk to the Cashew Lounge right behind it.”
