“I hosted a 60th Birthday Party yesterday in Jake’s private front room / large enough for our 50 guests. We served wings, baked ziti, chicken cutlets, chicken marinara, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, the lakefront view of Elk Lake, and the casual, relaxed, and clean atmosphere.Many friends stayed through the evening to enjoy drinks, live music, and a little pool in the main bar area.I highly recommend checking Jake’s out for your next event!”

“12/19/23 Ordered takeout for the 2nd time. Got the meat lovers pizza and an order of hot wings. The wings were done one time and they brought them out, but the pizza took almost 15 minutes longer than it was supposed to. So besides the fact that I had to wait there for 15 minutes, by the time the pizza was ready the wings were cold and soggy. And I was the only person in the restaurant. Gave 2 stars because the pizza was very good. It all came to $32.75 ?Edit: Been getting pizza here on the regular now and it's always delicious, so I had to up to 4 stars.”

“This is a really special American restaurant. The food is very good. There is care in most every dish. Some of the dishes have a very unique and total commitment from scratch. A lot of older people here are sort of crumbing it up, I’m jk. Their grilled portobello mushroom sandwich was a big reason why I started cooking myself over ten years ago and wanting to study hobby culinary. If you can make a mushroom taste that good in place of meat, the wheels are turning.”

“We went here for the first time last night. The food was good. The waiter was polite, prompt, but overwhelmed. Dining here was difficult. There are too many tables packed in one small room. We not only had to get up from our table if the neighboring table had to use the bathroom, but we had to get up so that the waiter can deliver food and clear dishes from the tables around us. We were not the only table having to do this. It ruined the whole dining experience. There were so many tables packed in the dining room that you couldn’t even open the door all the way to enter or exit the restaurant. Less tables would help this restaurant run more efficiently and improve the dining experience.”

“So after seeing the great review,s on this place, I had to go & try it myself! Gotta say, buying hibachi from a gas station seems kinda weird. BUT...DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN! I got the Steak & Shrimp with noodles, the servings were huge, and OH SO GOOD! Everything was cooked perfectly. The one thing that I was bummed out about was there wasn't as many veggies as I like. Next time I'll get a side of veggies to fix that. The sauces are wonderful, and complemented the meal perfectly. The staff were kind, and super friendly. “We order from here at least a couple times a month. My husband is seriously hooked on the piggies (aka stuffed cabbage). I've tried a lot of things on the menu and the only thing that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed is the drop noodles. I'd never had them before and they just weren't for me. I think they'd probably go over well for someone who grew up on them. Anyway. The pizza is excellent. The pierogies are fresh and fantastic, with so many filling options! I'm partial to the chili dog pierogies but those are only available sometimes. Check out Facebook for their specials. They have specials every week, including items not typically on the menu and special pierogi options. There are tables for dine-in but this place thrives on carry-out. 3% charge for paying with a card.”

“The ice cream is always phenomenal, and the amount you get is great for the price. The first time I ate here, we also ordered chili burgers with cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. The second time (with new owners), the chili was good, but the burger was dry, hard, and tasted like sawdust. I'll probably try the chili burger one more time to see if this was a one-time thing or if the food is just not good anymore. I'd still recommend this place for ice cream, though.”

“The queen of Tarts is infant the queen of Tarts! Her food is amazing! I have not been disappointed. Her apple Cinnamon buns tast just like a warm apple pie and the cannoli cheese cake is amazing!
