I went here on Feb. 24, 2024 for the first time. I had never been in this area and it seemed to be a relatively quiet part of town. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but was VERY cozy and comfortable and peaceful! We got there a little early for a Saturday dinner and were seated immediately. There was only one other table of people, which was nice. Our hostess that took care of us was WONDERFUL and she just added a cherry to the top of this perfect meal! She was funny and attentive but not TOO attentive, ya know? Because this was my first time here, I wanted to try it all... so we ordered appetizers, Thai iced tea, main course AND dessert! Yes, it was a lot of food! And it was all amazing! I have no complaints about ANY of it. Honestly, the crab rangoon was the best I have ever had, and I try that dish everywhere I go. The prices were very reasonable too... especially when you consider how good the food was and the fact that it came out quickly. That was the other thing... our different courses of food were ready and came out exactly when we were ready for them... timed perfectly. As you can tell, I can't say enough good things about this place! I feel like it's a hidden treasure!
Parking: We parked at a lot right down the street. I'm not sure if the lot was for community parking, but we didn't get towed. lol. There was also street parking available.

Not good at all, food doesn’t have any flavor. Tom kha was pure sour taste, green curry was just spicy. Not to mention more than half of the bowl was green beans, and some broccoli with something black on the stems (mold?). On top of all that my husband got food poisoning, so yeah would not recommend
Great food!! Can be made for all spice levels, but a word of warning; I'm someone who likes spice but more at a medium-low level. For those also like me, do not order a spice level above 1 or 2. My fiancé who loves everything spicy got a 4/5 and was crying after he finished the meal. Fantastic taste he said, but still very hot. Will definitely be coming back again!!

I chose the 0-5 because their was no way to choose 0 itself. The food is good, but it's so damn hot my mouth is burning. Why in the world don't you have a 0 for people who don't want their mouth burning while eating their meal. Is this is a 0-5, I can't imagine what the higher ranking would be.Sorry, but even thought the food was decent, from what I can tell from my mouth practically numb,. I doubt I'll order from here again.

Spicy Seafood dinner menu stated; scallop, mussel, shrimp and squid. This had 1 shrimp still in the shell and very chewy 1 scallop very chewy 1 squid very rubery not chewable and white fish this is not even on the menu so where did that come from? The Allegheny river? and just to top that off it was very fishy also note as for the veggies all were hard as a rock, not hot and not cooked.Next up was the crab fried rice the menu stating it had rice, crab, egg, carrots, peas, green onion, onion; what crab? found a bite wow and it did have a lot of onions and should have been called onion white rice because nothing was fried no veggies as stated. we did ordered on-line. and picked up. We will not be back!

Really good Pad Thai. My brother and I split it and had 2 sides of rice. More than enough food. So delicious.

The spice level here is insane. I eat habaneros and ghost peppers raw, I love spice. A level 3 here is very hot. But it’s just a very finely ground peppercorn hot. Normally, that’s not a problem. The problem I have is getting 5 small pieces of shrimp in shrimp fried rice and the rice is just overcooked mush. The pad chicken pad Thai hardly had any meat or veggies, it was all noodles. I guess they are cheap. Used to be good - was last time I was here. Not so much now. If you’ve ever had nickys, you’re going to be pretty disappointed. We definitely will not be returning.
-THE FLYING DUCK is absolutely amazing. It has shatteringly crispy duck that is tender on the inside, with a sweet and sour and spicy pineapple sauce. It is to die for. My favorite.-Tom yum soup has perf balance of sour/aromatic and had really plump shrimp-wow shrimp was truly wow, i thought the shrimp were lobsters and the sweet and sour sauce was amazing-Rice noodles in pad see ew and kee mao taste homemade?! they are so chewy and velvety and 10x better than other restaurants, and the flavor of the sauce is so deep and caramel-yMy brother and I came here and ate 5 dishes... it is our favorite Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh and I would easily drive 20 min outside the city just to come here. SO GOOD SO GOOD
I always really want to like Burgh Thai, a sweet little neighborhood spot. The food I've had is flavorful and enjoyable. The problem with it is that they give VERY little meat in their meat dishes. The dinners are overwhelmingly vegetables, which taste fine but when I'm paying over $20 for a seafood meal, I'd really like more than 5 or 6 bites of seafood. And I've had chicken dishes that were the same - the vegetables completely overshadow the meat. I've decided that tonight is my last time going there, sadly. It's just not worth the money.
