I recommend the food, but not the service. They're so rude, and for some reason Mitch tells you they don't have things when they do. there are no specials when there are, and we definitely would have ordered the special bc it's my son's favorite thing. They were not busy. Now, my husband says that he won't ever eat there again... :/ And this is why we can only go there like twice a year.

Best bbq pulled pork and ribs I’ve had in a LONG TIME! Great people. Excellent food. Portions are too small but that keeps me from looking like a porky pig 😁if I could I’d eat there every day!! Boyhowdy!

Good food…HORRIBLE customer service. The guy at the register taking orders does not belong in a customer-facing role. He must be the owner because I cannot imagine an employer would keep an employee who is down right rude to people simply for asking a question. Their menu board said “ask about additional sides”. So, I asked what other sides were available. He acted as if it was the dumbest question that had ever been asked and how dare I bother him with such stupidity. Then he pointed at the sign (same sign that says ask about other sides) and said “they’re all up there”. Then I stupidly asked what drinks they had available…he sighed and rolled his eyes and pointed to the cooler. I felt rushed to order and it was incredibly awkward interacting with the register guy. So, I quickly just pointed to something and said “I’ll have that”. Almost $60 later and my husband and I got our food. We thanked register guy and told him to have a nice day…he replied with an annoyed stare.

Like I said, the food was good…I’ll say that much. But it wasn’t worth $60 and it definitely WAS NOT good enough to go back and be treated rudely again. Won’t be back.

Amazing place. One of those local hidden gems that should be visited. Delicious food! Anything smoked in here you’ll love. They will make sure you enjoy your visit by asking questions, checking how your food is and suggesting beers/ food you may like. Their Ramen is good, but it’s not a typical Asian ramen since they add a smoked meat in the bowl. It gives it this unique smoky flavor. Delicious overall and meat cuts are huge! Tacos will fill you up! Very inexpensive place worth a visit! Then you everyone working here!!!

Delicious BBQ! The brisket and mac n cheese was amazing! The only challenge was parking is limited. Would definitely come back and eat here again!

Was excited to try this place out as it came highly recommended from different people. Ended up being very disappointed with my visit. I went solely for the brisket as I’m from Texas and have yet to find anything that has scratched that itch in Pittsburgh. Ordered half pound of brisket and asked if it came with any sides like plain white, sliced bread or pickles. The guy behind the counter looked at me as if I was the dumbest person he’d ever seen. He responded with attitude and said, “maybe they can give you a bun” while pointing at ladies behind a different counter. This is Not a surprising response, considering some of the other negative reviews have all mentioned a rude person behind the counter.
The brisket wasn’t terrible, but also wasn’t great, pretty middle of the road. The BBQ sauce on the other hand was terrible, basically ketchup sauce.

What was really weird, the entire time I sat there and ate, an employee(busboy?) was throwing wet waded up paper towels across the entire dining area trying to make it into the tip jar. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this went on the entire time I was there eating. He was throwing them from the Coke fountains all the way to the cash register while people were waiting for their food. He told a random customer that if he made two out of three, he got to keep what was in the tip jar.

While this was happening, the rude cash register employee was yelling at a doctors office on the phone. How do I know this, because he was yelling at them saying that he couldn’t get a hold of an actual human being to talk to regarding somebody’s kidney test results. Just an overall weird experience to the point that I will not be returning or recommending to anyone who remotely knows what bbq is. The mac & cheese and baked beans were decent though.

I felt horrible walking in a half hour before closing. I know how hard it is since I’ve worked in the restaurant industry plus it being a bbq place I knew they’d probably be out of a lot. Everyone was super welcoming and understanding and accommodating. Everyone was super nice! I will definitely be back when we come to Pittsburgh again.

Decent bbq, but definitely overpriced for the quality. Maybe above par in quality for the places in the area but for $28/lb of brisket, it’s just too much to justify going regularly.

Ate here on a local recommendation while we were in town. The food was great! Hands down the best Mexican street corn I’ve had. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend, but bring your appetite!

Funny story I'm at the parking lot admiring this man's dogs. Turns out he's the owner. So I go get some brisket and it was delicious. Went back the next day for more. Amazing food right smoke flavor and the staff wonderful ppl. Going to bring the family next time

The brisket taco has now ruined all other tacos for me, nothing will ever compare. Mitch’s is the best bbq around. The smoke is light, the seasoning and sauce are mild the meat is moist and the star of the show!
