We stumbled onto this place after an appointment nearby. We were there at an odd time, mid-afternoon, and only the bar menu was available.
Service was good, drinks were good and the food was mostly excellent.
The one miss were the oysters Rockefeller. They weren't terrible, but they were not flavorful and weren't hot. Our server removed them from our tab without being asked to do so when we said we weren't fans.
Definitely would return for dinner menu.

They have achieved best of Pittsbirgh for a reason. Awesome staff, the Chef's inspired creations, like the Sea Bass are simply superb. I wish I had found this restaurant earlier during my stay I would have been a repeat customer.

Our waitress was very good however, there were not enough servers for the crowded dining room. Plus it took too long to get our appetizers and very long to get our dinners.

Lovely atmosphere and nice spacing between tables. Kevin was an amazing waiter and saw to everything we needed. The menu offered ample amount of choices, including for someone like me, who doesn't eat seafood. The steak and bernaise sauce was melt in your mouth heavenly and the meal was a treat. The presentation of a hot refreshing cloth is a show in itself and just another gesture Off the Hook excels at.

We asked for an out of the way table when we made the reservation, but were seated near the entrance where there was a draft from the front door. We could have changed tables but would not have been in a better location. Upon ordering, the restaurant was out of mussels, halibut and trout at 7pm on a Thursday; two of which we had planned on ordering. I decided on the sea bass special which had good flavor but was a bit overcooked. The pumpkin latte cheesecake was very good and our server was fine. A less gratifying experience than we expected for our first visit there though.

Went for our anniversary and it was fantastic! The calamari and the shrimp appetizers were so delicious. I ordered the halibut on our server's suggestion and it was incredible. We got our dessert free since it was a special occasion and just the whole experience was so special.
