If you find yourself strolling down South Main Street in Washington, PA, there’s a spot you can’t afford to miss — Chicco Baccello. Tucked at 239 S Main St, this coffeehouse-meets-deli has earned a loyal following for its warm atmosphere, stellar service, and food that hits all the right notes.
.
From the moment you step inside, the vibe is inviting — exposed brick walls, cozy seating, and the kind of laid-back energy that makes you want to linger. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends, knock out some work, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee.
.
Speaking of coffee, regulars rave about the Italian Almond Latte and the Chicco Baccello Latte — a rich blend of Milano chocolate, vanilla, and espresso. Pair it with a fresh-baked ricotta cookie, cannoli, or a buttery croissant, and you’re in for a treat. If you’re hungry for more, their deli sandwiches are a standout. The Tommy sandwich gets high marks for its fresh ingredients and bold flavors, while breakfast lovers swear by the bacon quiche and hearty breakfast sandwiches.
.
Service here is consistently praised — the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to see you. Even on busy mornings, they keep things moving without making you feel rushed.
.
In short, Chicco Baccello isn’t just a coffee shop — it’s a community hub where great food, great coffee, and great people come together. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one of those places that makes you feel right at home.

The whole package!

Food, atmosphere, service….Chicco has it all!

Place your order for any of the various items they serve from breakfast to lunch, desserts and great coffee! Food is absolutely amazing no matter what you get. I can’t even pick out something specific because it’s all good.

Bakery wise, full selection of biscotti, muffins, cakes and cookies that change out daily and are made in house. They also have homemade cannoli that have an artistic flare that are extremely good! Around Thanksgiving, they have the most amazing role. All of your Thanksgiving dinner in one “pepperoni roll” type roll. These sell out very, very quickly because they are that good!

They offer a full service deli with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses sliced to order. Sandwiches and salads offered.

Have a seat at a table to dine or on a comfy couch or chair. Books are even available to read while you are relaxing. Atmosphere is relaxed. Can definitely clear your head here while drinking a nice cup of coffee.

Highly recommend!

5 Stars – My Favorite Coffee Spot!

I absolutely love this place! I always order the caramel iced latte and the Bionic Bagel—both are consistently delicious. The coffee and food never upset my stomach, which is rare for me since most places tend to. We discovered this gem a few months ago, and now I go as often as I can—usually Saturdays. I'd be there every morning if they opened earlier than 7:30am (I have to be at work by then), but trust me, if that ever changes, I’ll be their first customer each day.

One of the baristas, Emma (same name as me!), is so kind and always makes my drink perfectly. She’s the only staff member I know by name, but the whole vibe of the place is great.

Honestly, this is hands down the best coffee I’ve had—way better than Starbucks, Dunkin, or anywhere else in the Washington area. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!

I was craving a genuinely above the others, fresh veggie wrap today. I will never go anywhere else! Chicco Baccello was OVER THE TOP SUPERB!!! Stuffed inside of a full size spinach wrap was provolone cheese, just right ripe avocado.(if you know you know!), fresh ripe tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, black olives, banana peppers, roasted sweet red peppers and crispy romaine lettuce and mayo. It comes with a crunchy dill pickle spear on the side. I opted out of the mayo and added drizzled extra virgin olive oil and white wine vinegar over the inside of it. Very reasonably priced. The friendly staff and the ambiance of the cozy and home like dining room is just like being at grandma's house! Hometowners and tourists alike will not be disappointed! Don't forget to add a couple of their daily fresh baked cookies! The iced almond and lemon crinkles are to die for! You're Welcome!

I appreciate having Chicco in our community. It provides a wonderful atmosphere for getting together, working, or just taking a moment for yourself. Liam is my favorite barista as they make everyone feel welcome, chats with the customers, and genuinely takes pride in making delicious coffee and other drinks.

Parking: Parking near and around any main drag location such as Chicco can be annoying but I've never found it difficult to find a parking spot, as many times customers are coming and going quickly in the morning for their breakfast and coffee before work etc.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome and employees treat them great.

Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible.

I love stopping at Chicco’s whenever I’m in Washington. The strawberry Italian soda is such a special treat and one of my favorites. You can’t always find them with cream which makes them extra tasty. The food is always great.
