Dive bar atmosphere. There was a variety of music types playing (mostly pop and country hits). A Captain and Coke was $4.50, which isn't terrible. The bartender and fellow patrons were very nice.

Bartenders are friendly, beer is cold, juke box happily eats money and belts out tunes, what more could ya ask for?Depending on the time of the day/night, one of Uptown Washington's derelicts might be there, but they typically keep to themselves. Jose's is everything you crave in a hometown bar. Plenty of TVs, great selection of bottled and draught beers, great service and they don't charge "Pittsburgh prices" in their booze.
