I ordered lunch for my coworkers and everyone loved their meals! We had Pork handheld, yardbird sandwich, Washington Cheesesteak, Big Nate, potato salad and slaw. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately their fryer wasn’t working, but who needs fries when you have a delicious Big Nate. You should give this place a try; it’s delicious-sincerely girl from Alabama
REAL BBQ, amazing food, great conversation! We'll be back!!!
Owner Bruno is a awesome guy. Meat and sides were very good and large portions. Only drawback is if you like hot bbq sauce, they have none.
The food was phenomenal, and the owner has such a passion for the quality product. He delivers. Highly recommend.
Last week, Washington County invited Southern Yanks to come in and sell soup for what was advertised as $8.00 per quart. When we arrived, I noticed that the containers were 'pint-sized.' They (Southern Yanks' said there was a mistake in printing and it was $8.00/pint. Hmm, ok, bc I did not bring my lunch that day and they had me over a smoker. I got 2 PINTS for $16.00. When I got home, I had one for dinner and it was more fat and gristle than meat and was very salty. When I warmed the second one, I decided to with it, and the pint (16 os) container contained 12.7 oz of soup. What a ripoff. I will NEVER give these crooks my business even if they offer a free steak with each quart/pint/CUP AND A HALF of soup. I can get local Eat 'n Park quarts for $5.00. Sorry, you lost a customer for false advertisement and substandard soup, and unwillingness to honor the advertised price, which would have brought more customers than you could handle. So disappointed and ripped off. (I was in the restaurant business and always gave value in the form of price and portion to my patrons) Maybe you don't need repeat customers. Or maybe you need the soup lady to shop and cook for you.
We had a small birthday party. Just after closing. They made a little extra for us, and we basically cleaned out the days' worth of food that was in the kitchen. The little time that the place exists, there's a lot of history behind the place. They serve mostly the lunchtime crowd or until all the food is gone.
Kid-friendliness: There's a lot on the menu that kids would like. The owner actually took the birthday kid and showed him a few things. They whipped up a few things and the birthday boy brought it out for everyone to try. I think the owner named the combo after him. Which was really cool.
Parking: On a busy day. I could see there being some problems parking. But not too much. It just means you might have to cross the street or walk a few more steps.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy one level access. Wheelchairs can roll right in. And the way everything is setup. There's always room for a Wheelchair or two.
We ordered food from here for my Dad’s 70th Birthday party and we could not have been happier! We had about 30 people and everyone raved about how tasty it was. Pickup was easy and they made sure we had everything we needed. Very impressed with the experience! I would highly recommend them for lunch or any catering occasion. I also did a Facebook poll on a local food page and Southern Yanks won for best BBQ.
Great BBQ! Got one each of the sandwiches, beef, pork and chicken. Smokehouse great! I have lived in the South and this is right-on, in our backyard! Buns are great.Cut sandwiches in half and share (as we did)!
My wife and I had them cater for our small wedding. The food was amazing and they were very helpful when we were picking out food and deciding how much we need. Everything we had was very good and we will definitely be going back soon.
Bruno, the owner, explained the whole menu to us in detail, and even told us exactly how he cooks it when we asked. Amazingly delicious BBQ, made by people that truly care about how it tastes. Hidden gem, a must eat in this area!

There’s always great service from Bruno and his team! Southern Yanks is a great local spot and worth the stop. Wether you’re looking for lunch or catering for 100 guests, I would recommend this restaurant for your next meal.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will love this place!

BEST HOMEMADE BBQ!!!Wow, that was some good southern food. I loved the chicken and nashville hot beef. Mac was to die for. Owner is the nicest guy you’ll meet. GET THE NACHOS ~ homemade tortilla chips. ?
Amazing food. I had a brisket and the mac & cheese., my wife had Carolina beef and slaw. The owner Bruno was so nice and went over the menu. Ate so much I was ready to take a nap. lol
BBQ is incomparable and superior to other local places. Bruno knows what he’s doing with this food. Also provides a very welcome atmosphere.
This place is PHENOMENAL! We were recommended this place while we were waiting for our car to be done at Mr Tire. I am not a big BBQ person but I actually enjoyed the BBQ sauce they have here. From the moment we walked in, Bruno was so friendly and welcoming. The food is tender and juicy. I would definitely recommend.
