I hosted a 60th Birthday Party yesterday in Jake’s private front room / large enough for our 50 guests. We served wings, baked ziti, chicken cutlets, chicken marinara, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, the lakefront view of Elk Lake, and the casual, relaxed, and clean atmosphere.Many friends stayed through the evening to enjoy drinks, live music, and a little pool in the main bar area.I highly recommend checking Jake’s out for your next event!

We're always looking for secret places. This one doesn't disappoint! It's a bar that serves great bar food! Don't expect more, but you'll get so much more. On the edge of beautiful Elk Lake. Bonfire at night. Good, quick service even though it was Thursday wing night and the place was packed.

Last night my father went out to celebrate his 50'th birthday and ordered take out Stromboli that was charred on the top and totally black on the bottom. this shouldnt have gone out the door, wish i could post pictures as part of the review

Local bar and restaurant on the lake. Looks like it would be a hopping place in the Summer. Friendly staff.Dirt street turn off makes it difficult to find the first time.

I haven’t been to jakes in a long time and last night was my friends 21st birthday. We sat at a table that was connected to the bar and the blonde bartender with glasses came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We gave our orders then waited a couple minutes before another bartender came over to ID us properly which the blonde one should have done in the first place. Then the brunette bartender gave us a list of their special drinks. We were going to order food because their kitchen closes later and we ended up grabbing the bill instead because both of the bartenders would not pay attention to us! In my opinion if you like country music and an older crowd then this is your bar to go to. I’m not quite sure why that one bartender also didn’t perform her simple job correctly and ID my friend and I. Instead she got another bartender over to do it and then didn’t have the audacity to even look out direction the rest of the time we were there. Thanks for showing my friend which bar NOT to go to in the future. Their pumpkin martini was good though…only good part of the experience.
In at 5 PM Sat down to a quiet, clean bar (stainless steel). Friendly barkeep kept a close eye until all eight of us showed up. Great bar food! ¾lb burgers; a steak sandwich that must have been as heavy; large delicious wings (Thursday wing night). Nice place!
