OUTSTANDING FOOD, SERVICE & CRAFT BEER!!!

Stephanie Wolak-Fleming

I go here regularly for lunch for their premade/grab and go salads - which are always 10/10.But my husband and I also went here for a date night dinner this weekend - another 10/10 experience. The food was delicious with good portion sizes, and same for our cocktails and craft beer option. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great date night place. We’ll definitely be back!

Called ahead earlier in the week to make a reservation for the weekend. Our party of 3 was seated in the dining room at two separate tables which we had to push together ourselves. We were reviewing the menus when we were asked by another hostess to get up and a move to another table outside the dining room by the door as the previous hostess sat us at the wrong table per their seating chart. Table we were moved to was filthy underneath with food all over the floor. Took quite a long time to even then get water or a drink. Not to mention it was my young child's birthday dinner and we are weekly regular local patrons who tip every time. Overall I was a very disappointed member of the community. As a business if you make an error you should simply just rearrange the seating chart. If staff are new and don't know your process they shouldn't be seating customers without senior staff assistance. Poor customer service and service recovery.

Food was good and reasonably priced, except for the crab corn chowder. There was hardly any crab, and it tasted more like potato soup. We were there over Dicken's of a Christmas weekend. We finished our lunch and paid, but I was still drinking my 2nd beer. We were informed that they needed our table, and told me I could finish my drink while standing at the bar. My wife and her friend were along, and were both put off by this request. I get they want to make as much money as they can during Dicken's Christmas, but this was just rude. This is why they only get 2 stars, and if I ever get back to Wellsboro I will probably not patronize this establishment.

we got takeout -- tried the fried avocado - it was awesome! Had never had it. All in all a nice meal -- easy walk from our hotel.

Excellent find for lunch on the Main Street in Wellsboro PA. Fresh and delicious homemade choices. Try the burrito Tuesday meals. Sandwiches, salads and soups are wonderful. Order at the counter, sit down in the restaurant/bar area and wait for service. Comfortable and casual atmosphere!

My family and I have now eaten at the Red Skillet 3 times on two separate trips. Everything we have ordered has been perfectly prepared. The grilled caesar is my wife's favorite. I've had both salmon and shrimp dishes. Each has been cooked and seasoned to perfection. They also have wonderful and uniquely flavored lemonades.

Really nice, laid-back atmosphere. We shared the Chicken Quesedillas and each had the Fall Harvest Salad. The food was so good that we might be back for the quiches tomorrow!

An excellent dinner spot - pleasantly casual, clean setting in the heart of 'downtown'. Substantial sandwiches, other dishes. Some decent wine selections available. Plan to spend $30 - $40 per couple, with drinks. Not bad for a good meal.

Overall a good experience. Staff is super friendly & accommodating. Loved the ceasar salad & orange creamsicle smoothie I had for lunch. Excellant ceasar dressing! Some salad ingredients not what you'd expect in a ceasar so ask if you're particular. I had to pick out the red onions. With the ongoing impact of Covid, I understand the plasticware & paper plates, but a quality upgrade in knives might be helpful. I'm one of those freaks who has to cut my lettuce. The flimsy plastic made it difficult. Looking forward to trying a steak dinner here sometime & another smoothie flavor. Thank you Red Skillet!
