Nasty butter chicken and lamb Korma. CAmpbells chicken noodles soup has bigger chunks of chicken.... and the lamb chunks were no better. The sauce was full of vinegar and onions and is obviously not the Punjabi style Indian food I am accustomed to. Will never order from here again. Suggest you don't bother either unless you have a gastrointestinal death wish and an iron clad gag reflex. TANDOORI TURDS... this is what comes to mind in thinking of this pathetic excuse for Indian Cuisine.

My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try this spot out, and we're SO glad we did! I'm vegan, and there were plenty of options! I got the Aloo Mutter, and the sauce was a perfect savory blend that will warm your soul during this chilly weather! The Papadum was so crisp and salted perfectly. We shared the vegetable pakora, they were soft, but crispy on the outside. The tamarind and chutney side sauces were the perfect pairing, we loved them! My boyfriend got the Chicken Korma and garlic naan, he thought it was the perfect comfort meal! The portions were very generous as well, and I'm already excited to eat my leftovers for lunch tomorrow! If you've been debating whether to get take out/try this place out, DO IT!

No exactly gourmet. Seems like canned vegetables

We are trying to find our “go tos” after moving from NYC and was so excited to try this restaurant since the reviews are so outstanding! Unfortunately this was no doubt the worst Indian I have ever had. There was a spiciness (asked for medium), but there were no other flavors that Indian food is known for. I tried the butter chicken, chicken korma and lamb biryani. Neither of the chicken dishes tasted anything like they were supposed to and proteins in all the dishes were dry. The textures were also off and the naan smelt like pizza dough and tasted floury. It was not actual naan. Even the accompaniments were not good. The raita was a thick yogurt without any cucumber or flavor. There honestly wasn’t anything we tried that I felt was passable. I would recommend Rasa Indian instead, but only tried 3 places in the area so far.

This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to (well ordered take out from, stupid covid). We order from here weekly and make sure to "accidentally" order way too much so that we have lunch for the next day . Our go tos: vegetable samosa, some sort of naan, chicken korma, a different chicken dish, and alu gobi. Spice levels are tricky. On the chicken we get medium, but any veggie dish we have to get mild or it will almost burn your mouth off. The girl who takes your order is SO nice and helpful. I'm so glad they have stayed in business through this pandemic. 100% recommend.

A friend of mine has been raving about this place for years! We had plans to go in person, but then Covid... glad to see they're still around! I finally got take out tonight and it did not disappoint. Did the assorted appetizer, garlic nan, and chicken tikka masala (medium heat- which was perfect for me and I like spicy!) The chutney/sauces with the apps were excellent! Will def be back!

Nice family owned business, but there is tastier Indian food in exton that's less expensive.

My mom and I did takeout last week when it was just the two of us for dinner. My chicken korma was amazing and prepared as ordered (spiciness as medium). My mom's chana masala (also ordered medium) came out inedibly spicy for her. Leftover rice mixed with leftover korma was thoroughly enjoyed as lunch for me the next day. I thought there was more garlic naan than there actually was (4 quarter slices). Sorry, Mom, for eating 3 of the slices!

Everything is very good but Tandoori mixed grill is amazing

West Chester, I get it, burgers and pizza and wings are good. But come on, show some love for some some legitimately great Indian food. This place should have a line around the block.

Take-out dinner last night. Simply outstanding!! Felt freshly cooked the old fashioned way with freshly prepared spices. Will visit them often.

Phenomenal! I've passed this place so many times without trying it, decided to give it a shot tonight and the food is top tier.

We got take-out for the first time last week from Star of India. The food was all so good! We will definitely be getting food from here again soon. The veggie somasas, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Paneer Tikka Masala were all amazing. So happy to have a wonderful Indian restaurant right in town!

It is time to pay a visit to Mrs. Singh. I woke up dreaming of her delicious meat samosas, mango lassi, perfectly cooked basmati rice with a handful of green peas and top, dal (lentils) and chicken tikka masala. The BEST meal in West Chester. My husband and I don’t even have to give specifics. We just get “the usual” and it is perfection every time. Thank you, Mrs. Singh. You’re the best! ??

First time ever trying Indian food and this place was insanely good. Heard that this was a hidden gem so I can't believe it took us this long to try!! Food is so flavorful and great quality, reasonably priced, and great portions too. I don't usually write reviews but this place deserves more credit. Would rate 7 stars if possible!!!!
