Be prepared for smaller portions and expensive food if you order the wings or the fries.

Stopped by yesterday early afternoon. Hostess was friendly and greeted and seated us outside. We received our menus and plates. No one ever came over to offer water, take our order or otherwise check on us. However, a table that was seated 10 minutes after us received attention immediately. Needless, to say we left and had our meal elsewhere. Will not return.

My family and I came in this afternoon for a late lunch. We were greeted by the hostess who gave us a choice of seats. We chose a high top table near the window. The hostess left our menus and told us our server would be over. There were only 3 other tables being serviced and 3 servers on the floor. I watched the servers moving around to service m the other tables but no one ever came to our table. We waited quite a while , I made eye contact with two of the servers who were servicing the other tables no one came to our table. I also made eye contact with the hostess who seemed to notice we weren’t being serviced, still no one came to our table. At this point we got up to walk to the door, as we were walking past the hostess stand she said “Have a great day”. I turned to her and said you do know you just sat us right? She said “what”? I reiterated “you just sat us, we waited and waited and no one came to service our table”. Her response…Oh I’m sorry. As we were walking to another restaurant we saw a friend, we told her what happened. She said she was not surprised, she mentioned the staff at Stove and Tap are typically students running the restaurant who are not customer service oriented. She recommended we try Sedona Tap House. Service was 10/10 at STH. I DO NOT recommend Stove and Tap.

We tried Stove & Tap for the first time on Saturday night in West Chester. The host & waitstaff were all incredibly friendly, the restaurant itself was clean, it was definitely a bit on the louder side but it was pretty busy when we went (we made reservations in advance). Like other reviews have mentioned, the menu is limited and we did feel like there was somewhat of a lack of variety. However, the food and drinks we did order were great and arrived quickly. We would definitely go back again just for the Wagyu Sliders alone.

We had a reservation for a 9 top. Our table was ready and waiting when we arrived. Our server was friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed including drinks. All of the orders came out perfect. The food was AMAZING! Will definitely return!

All good stuff in a great town. Stove & Tap is a great fit in West Chester.

Cheese steak egg rolls and Brussels were very good. Nachos were so-so. I'm very upset that they charged $6.00 for guacamole!!! Shame on me for not looking at the price, I never would have ordered it, probably was around a half cup, SIX DOLLARS. And the chicken was $6 so I paid $12 for toppings on $8 happy hour nachos. Really put a damper on my experience.

The staff was nice and they have some newer menu items, but the menu is still a little odd....you just don't look it and see things popping out that you want. Multiple people struggled to find something they were happy to order. I tend to prefer the places where you can't figure out what to order because there are 2-4 directions you could go in...even our waitress said the menu is quirky. All around, not bad, but I wouldn't go back with so many nice places on the same street...

Overpriced for mid food. Came for lunch today with my wife. We sat at the bar and since it was an off time (3:30ish) there was really only like 6 people in the restaurant total. It looks really nice, passes the ambiance and vibe check easily but this is my second and last time going for food. We split the tap fries which were very ok. Meat felt sort of grocery store frozen quality. The cheese was also forgettable, and the fries were pretty floppy under everything. My wife got a burger which seemed pretty good, no complaints from her, she also got a side of the street corn which I think was the best thing we had out of everything we ordered. I got the fish and chips which were just not good. The batter tasted like nothing, and the tartar sauce was watery and just lacking in general, but the worst of it was the price. 25$ for 3 relatively small sized pieces of fish that just weren't good. I could stomach the price if the quality was good, but that was not the case. Staff was nice and attentive. No complaints there. But now I know, only going back there for drinks, I'll find somewhere else for lunch/dinner.

American Burger was perfect. The pickled onions elevated it. Recommend subbing sharp cheddar cheese. Special sauce is reminiscent of, though in an elevated way, a big mac. I had takeout but would like to come back for an evening. Looks like a fun menu!

Stove and Tap is always consistent in service, food quality and atmosphere. We have been several times, but this particular review is directed towards "Date Night"- which is a special they run on Wednesdays.$40 for two: 2 "select" entrees, a dessert to share + a bottle of wine. The options for entrees were good- there are about 4 things on the menu- this is a non picky eater menu. We had the dan dan noodles and the salmon tacos, both delicious. The bottle of pinot grigio was great, and the cheesecake was fantastic (however, we aren't dessert people, hopefully they can do a small app instead). We would love to see a rotational menu as well (change it once a month?)- keep people coming in the door. Now onto a review for the restaurant itself:The only thing that is disappointing is the brunch drink special that has since been discontinued. We are in our mid 30's and having a fun brunch spot with mimosas is more enticing than a BYOB. I understand the college kids get rowdy on "bottomless", but the $20 carafe special was the only reason we would come to brunch. Limit 1 per group of 2 and see how that plays out. We went to brunch a few sundays ago and it was DEAD in there. You need to get people back in the door- us millenials love to treat ourselves, but also want a good special as well- $5 mimosas don't make the cut.

My family and I came in to celebrate my little sister birthday and the food was good, the server was nice but the service was not good. We waited for a espresso martini and a glass of wine that was no where near full for almost 20 minutes. The drinks were yummy but we saw our server and bartender sitting around on their phones and talking to friends instead of making drinks or attending to what we asked for. This happened several times during our dining experience. We ordered two salted caramel espresso martinis for desert and it took another 30 minutes to receive the drinks. When we did get the drinks they had a salted rim and almost tasted like there was tequila in it.... I am not the type of person to leave a bad review because I am a server myself so I know things can get crazy but it was a Monday night and there weren't many tables or customers to be waiting that long for food and drinks. It did seem like our server was the only server on so i don't know if she was stressed or if it was her fault entirely but something wasn't right. Food was very good though!

Excellent variety of perfectly prepared quality food! Restaurant is sparkling clean with whimsical decor that makes you smile. Waitress was very experienced, efficient and friendly. She gave recommendations when asked without tap dancing around the question. This is so appreciated. There's nothing worse than wait staff that responds "EVERYTHING" is delicious. Restrooms are roomy and appear to be very sanitary and well-stocked. Access is private instead of being right in front of diners. Stand-out dishes: brussels sprouts (WOW!), cheese steak, chicken wrap. While I didn't eat the desserts, fellow diners had the Brookie and the Chocolate Layer Cake. While the Brookie won the 'contest', both smelled over-the-top delicious! Two weeks earlier at the Lansdale Stove & Tap, the salmon BLT and tuna tacos with creamy mushroom soup were spectacular. Love both locations. Thank you.Vegetarian options: Fresh veggies! All delicious!Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeThe RESY system asked in advance about food allergies.Parking: It is possible to find nearby parking, you just need to be patient for someone to leave their spot.Kid-friendliness: The BEARS!

There are better options in West Chester but if your looking for brunch on Sunday in a place that’s not crowded, this is a good option.
