Great way to start the day here in Pittsburgh with super hospitable fresh and fast breakfast. Everything from the spicy sausage, shrimp and grits and eggs Benedict were on point. “We were in Pittsburgh for a few days to attend a concert and learn the city. After the casino, a concert, and a couple hungover nights we were hankering for some breakfast diner comfort food before the 5 hour drive home. We scouted a few local antique shops and stumbled upon this place searching for quick food nearby…boy am I GLAD WE DID! We walk in and grab a booth seat, an employee’s children are playing on their iPads and singing next to us. Everyone enjoying a late Saturday coffee and hearty breakfast. I had the 2 eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast special. My girlfriend had the western omelette and Texas toast. Everything was amazing!!!!(imagine Waffle House but you’ve got the worst hangover ever and your Nana sprinkles a little extra love in there) The bacon is the greatest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth.point.blank.period. The potatoes are exactly how my grandmother chopped and smashed them when she friend them in the cast iron skillet. My girlfriend’s western omelette was exactly how it should be, fluffy bright yellow egg with tons of flavor aided by salt and pepper to your liking and cooked yet firm produce mixed even throughout. AMERICA PLEASE KEEP THESE TREASURES ALIVE!!!!WE NEED THEM!!!!“

“My family went for lunch on Saturday, the place was absolutely packed! And for good reason, the food was absolutely delicious! And the service we received from our waiter was perfect. Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. All the food was hot and fresh, even the strawberries were freshly cut. We will definitely be spending many more breakfast and lunch dates here!“

“Food was PHENOMENAL. The three ladies running the restaurant this morning were a well oiled machine.
We had French toast, homefries and the Big Ben - everything was just amazing. In between every bite we kept making comments about how good the food was. We asked the woman cooking to come over and complimented her - I asked her if she needed any more grandchildren because I’d like to be adopted, put a big smile on her face! Everyone was so kind, and we loved the 50’s diner feel.

“Great little local place! The parfaits and sundaes are really big and the cherry on top was HUGE! They even offered a pup cup for our dog.
I also just want to give them a shout out for keeping the inside SPOTLESS. Ice cream places can get super sticky or run down looking easily but it was super clean!“

“Good food..but was charged $1 for 1 thin slice of tomato on my hamburger..75 for a small piece of lettuce. ..My wife charged $1 for a slice of tomato on her grilled cheese.. We won't be eating there again. Oh, don't use your charge card..there is a surcharge for using it...and they don't tell you until you are checking out.“

“I’ve been here twice and genuinely think this is one of the best spots to spend a block on. I’ve only come for breakfast, but each time they’ve had eggs, potatoes, taters, fresh fruit, omelets, bagels, cereal, yogurt, and several other options. You get full control over the portion size and can eat literally as much as you want, so I highly recommend coming here when you’re hungry.“

“the one white lady there assumed I was trying to get extra food for less money. but I opt for the more expensive breakfast option and ASKED the person waiting on me if I can replace the grits with a meat. he charged me for the $10 breakfast meal AND $3 for the extra meat making it $14 altogether with tax.so he didn't opt the grits out for the meat. she came to my table with an attitude and walked away from me even tho I wasn't finished explaining what happened. To that lady...PLEASE don't assume ppl are trying to do wrong. like YOU said the guy doesn't really wait tables and this was only my SECOND time there that's why I asked if I could do that and he still didn't do it cause he charged me for the 10 breakfast meal and 3 for extra meat.“

“Have always liked Denny's. Don't eat there as much as I would like, but we must drive to Pleasant Hills which is the closest one for us. Always have very tasty skillet plate meals and a variety of different things 👍. Great soups and desserts. Always friendly staff.“
