Will not go back, highly disappointed! Save your time, and money, and stay away. Me and my husband only went, so we could finally use our gift card that we received this past Christmas (2023) as a gift. Let me start by saying our waitress was so nice and thoughtful, and our food was mediocre. What made the experience SO BAD was the owner, Michelle. First instance, their were 2 reservations under the name Becky. So, when faced with the choice where we wanted to sit "first to arrive", we clearly chose the hightop vs. the table. After getting our apps and several rounds of drinks, the owner comes over demanding us to move, stating she herself reserved that table for her friend. We've been sitting their and didn't want to move, so my husband simply stated that we had a reservation under Becky and that this was our table. She told him that their was no reason for the bad attitude. He was upset, but whatever - we brushed it off. Our waitress apologized. We continued on with our night. Then, when it came to our bill, we tried to use our $75 dollar gift card that we just got 4 months ago. She attempted to say that it wasn't valid because it was from a previous owner. When infact, it was from when SHE WAS OWNER! Our waitress defended us to her, and she allowed us to use it. We were so happy to get out of their. I just feel bad for the woman who have to have her as a boss, seems to me they'd do better running the place themselves. She treated her "friends" better then new people walking in the door. 10/10 for the waitress. 7/10 for the food. 0/10 for the owner shitty attitude. Will not be returning. Also, the band "JOB" was absolutely terrible. Played crappy music that only a certain select group of people liked. You'd be better off at home, with a drink, watching re-runs of headbangers ball.

Rumor has it you messed up on some meals from my old gang. Well guess what bub you messed with the wrong family. I've single handedly shut down businesses with my yelp reviews. Barnes and noble gone, Bakery delight, 279 bar and grill, up next. I went in there back in 08 and let me tell you this was probably the most disgusting and out embarrassing. I took my family of 10 to this place expecting great food with these delightful reviews. Now I'm one holy little boy but Jesus Christ was this the worst food I've ever seen and not to mention you left pubes, condoms, a dirty dog pad, tire, a mole, I mean the mole that people get the brown thing, yes, I found that in there as well. I don't understand how hard it is to serve us good food. I had a terrible day the way it. I lost everything, my kids bike, my my little girls shoe, my driveway, my property, everything gone. Also one more thing a little ginger boy was serving me and he spit in my food and absolutely went ham on the woman's bathroom.

I haven't been here in years, and moved out of the area. I was back in town for a funeral and a bunch of us went here afterwards and spent quite a bit of time having drinks and food. Michelle the bartender was AWESOME and gave us great service even when it got super busy (Sat night). We ordered apps and all were good as well.

Worst set of wait staff / bartenders I have ever encountered. Including what I was told is the manager. Will ignore you for 20 mins or more and when they finally acknowledge you its with an eye roll or face of disgust. Only reason myself and friends were there was to see a local band we follow. Took over a half hour while seated at the bar to even pay my tab. Never again. 3 bartenders are too busy arguing amonst themselves to even care about about customers.

The family had dinner there last night. I took a chance and ordered the tomahawk pork chop, which is something I would not usually get. Normally I would have stayed with the tried and true burger and fries. The pork chop was awsome. It was extremely tender and perfectly cooked and the sauce was fantastic. I will be making the 279 a regular staple in our list of good places to eat.

Impeccable service, fantastic menu and always something fun to do! It’s really nice to have a place to go where everyone is welcome and has fun and just enjoys food and drinks in a laid back environment.

This place has gone downhill! The manager is snub and condescending! I was there last Wednesday. I enjoy trivia night(that part is excellent). However, I ordered my usual(seared tuna) and it was not even seared, completely raw. I asked to have it prepared like order and I was belittled, subjugated to condescending remarks, the waitress even mistreated me for asking! The manager made me feel completely unwelcomed! Stay clear of this Bar and Grill and especially if you are ethnically different!!

I've known about 279 for years and finally stopped. Everything we had (Cajun wings, French Onion soup, lobster bisque, ham, potato salad) were excellent and the portions were ample. Can't wait to go back to try their dinner menu.As for the 3 stars for atmosphere, I was there for the food, so I choose the middle of the road option. Bonus points for the beautifully decorated ladies room!
