I don't normally endorse just any restaurant, but we stumbled upon the best Mexican restaurant in the area. La Cantina Amigon on S. Main Street in Wilkes-Barre is the place you need to go when you're craving excellent Mexican food, great service (see Delia), and fair prices. ????? ?

Dine here othen, great food very fresh, everything is prepared fresh and presented with extremely pride, it's a diner with dishes presented better than most high end restaurants I've visited, language barrier is a obstacle depending on what wait staff is available but never the less well worth it, not the fastest diner but the quality and dishes they produce can't be rushed therefore the longer dine times are to be expected

We stopped by on a whim and prayer!! I am so happy we took a chance and ate here. Our waitress was so patient and knowledgeable. The menu had a-lot to choose from. I went with an egg white omelette and the best home fries ever! My husband ordered the beef empanadas, which were made fresh! They were so good he ordered more! I must warn you-make sure you are hungry because the portions are HUGE (which is a plus of course!). Anything on the menu is available-no matter the time of day. Our 4 year old wanted pancakes and french fries- and that was prepared for him. They also make fresh juices. I would definitely go back ! They also make fresh pastries-the next time I go I have to try some of their desserts! I will be sure to post my review!

We enjoyed eggs, bacon , toast and Home fries( excellent). We hung out for about an hour. Very laid back atmosphere. I'll be back as will my friend. Very extensive menu.

Very fresh food. Fresh juices - orange, carrot, celery, lots. Omelette and veggies inside all super fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and we will be back. Don’t be fooled by the location which might be off putting to out of towners. Come here for breakfast when staying in the area.

Some of the best empanadas I've ever had!!! Really good cuban sandwich, my girl loves their fish and their beet juice. Literally everything we've eaten from there so for has been delicious and the staff is super welcoming.
