Just had date night at Buona Sera with my husband. As always, a wonderful time--Cozy and intimate, attentive staff, delicious food and cocktails. Very reasonably priced with nice portions. A true hidden gem! Looking forward to our next time!!!

My husband and I are big foodies, but it’s pretty sad when you live in the Pittsburgh area and have to drive 269 miles for four hours and 19 minutes to find excellent authentic northern Italian cuisine. The executive chef at Buona Sera Italian restaurant in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, who is self trained, has totally mastered the art of northern Italian cuisine. We found this little gem when we were in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania in 2024 for a wedding and vowed to come back....

Buona Sera is a first-rate dining experience. Tablecloths and linen napkins set the stage for a high quality meal. Albert, our server, was efficient and helpful. Tonight we enjoyed eggplant rollantini to start. This was a plentiful starter - enough to share on date night. Our entrees included blackened salmon, veal sorrento, and chicken franchise. Everyone enjoyed their meal. There were plenty of take-home boxes. We finished the evening with cappuccinos for everyone! You must...
