The food was very good. Nice presentation and the service was excellent. My only pet peeve is the bread could be better. It's very plebeian. Typical commercial white bread. They need to find a source for more authentic Italian pane. Maybe Sullivan St. Bakery in NYC? Besides the bread everything else was delicious and top notch!

Me and my Wife had reservations for 8pm on Valentine's Day and when we arrived we were greeted by a server and were quickly seated. The space in the restaurant does seem a little tight when u arrive but the drinks and food make up for it. My wife had the chicken parmesan which was a big portion and was delicious cuz I had a piece of her food lol. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was delicious They gave you a big portion of shrimps with angel hair pasta. The drinks were great also, I recommend the Caramel Apple drink . All and All Cafe Toscana is a great place for you and your wife or gf for a date night GREAT !! atmosphere.

Always an excellent meal at Cafe Toscana, we've never been disappointed here. I tried the stuffed mushrooms appetizer for the first time and highly recommend them.

We had a party of 3 on new years ever and the food was great ,servers were attentive and didn't make us feel rushed even though it was New Year's Eve. I would highly recommended trying if you have not tried going there. It's not Just a special occasion place food was not over priced it was priced adequately for the area, the atmosphere was elegant but not pretentious and the food was so worth it. It was like a little taste of nyc in our backyard.

Everything was even better the expected. The food was amazing. The entire staff were friendly. Was busy but not noisy.

Food is always excellent. Even with the added crowd on New Years Eve, the food was fantastic.

Good spot for pre-show dinner (Kirby Center). Restaurant was packed and noisy, but good service, goy us out in time for the show. Good location on Courthouse square, down town Willkes Barra.

Always a great experience at this venue. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and good prices. A true gem whose owners and management have weathered economic ups and downs, the pandemic, and the general decline of downtown Wilkes Barre to maintain a consistent level of excellence ???

So we accidentally get to this town which with all do respect did not seem to be the best quality place on this planet. We asked for good place to eat and were recommended to here. Food is very good if not better. The fish we had, were both excellent, nothing to complained as it was very well cooked seasoned and freshly served. Starters were also excellent. We both had shrimp, but different styles. Sauces were delicious. Service is ok, but upscale place like, therefore don’t count on too much friendly easy going chats. Everything was correct and polite. I guess they want it this way, which is good. The place is not cheap, but thought the quality we got, deserved the money.

When we travel, we try to avoid chain restaurants and look for good local value. Cafe Toscana was a real find. We've driven through Wilkes-Barre for decades, stopping for gas and occasionally eating at Wegmans (the predictable quality trumps the fact that it's sort of a chain). This time, we ventured into the city to try a local restaurant. We were not disappointed. The tuna salad and linguine Fra Diavolo were prepared in classic Italian American style (meaning more sauce and somewhat larger portions than in Italy). Both were excellent. They made we wish we were having dinner and planning to stay overnight so we could also sample the wine list. I hope the people of Wilkes-Barre can keep this restaurant going for many years.

Always an excellent meal here, and I particularly recommend the Lobster/Avocado salad and the braised rib ravioli. Our party's drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all outstanding. The only aspect that wasn't was fairly stale bread, Service is attentive and professional without being obtrusive. The "new" parking lot on Market Street makes accessing this restaurant much more convenient now that there's no need to hope and hunt for street parking.

Great food and service. 1 star because the server helped himself to my credit information and bought a bunch of international phone cards
