Miller's Ale House

We LOVED it! This was our first visit, and we were served by Jordan who is terrific. The food was great, and it was reasonably priced. The restrooms were clean and tidy. We definitely plan to return again.

I recently dined at Miller’s Ale House in Wilkes-Barre and had mixed feelings about the experience.

I ordered the Pork Osso Buco, and to be fair, the meat itself was excellent. It was well-seasoned, tender, and full of flavor—definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sides left a lot to be desired. The mashed potatoes amounted to barely a tablespoon, which felt more like a garnish than an actual side dish. The broccoli portion was also minimal and undercooked, as if it had been barely steamed. For a $30 plate, I expected a more balanced and satisfying meal, not just a great piece of meat with almost no accompaniments.

Service was average. My waitress was friendly but clearly overwhelmed with too many tables, which led to delays and a lack of attentiveness. It didn’t feel like her fault as much as it did a staffing or management issue.

The atmosphere was generally pleasant, but I found the small tabletop gaming devices to be distracting and unnecessary. They automatically charge $2.50 to play, essentially putting a screen in your face while you’re trying to enjoy your meal. It added no real value to the dining experience and felt like just another way for the restaurant to squeeze out a few extra dollars.

Overall, while the pork itself was delicious, the disappointing sides, mediocre service, and unnecessary table gimmicks made the meal feel overpriced and underwhelming. For $30, I expect not just good flavor but also fair portions and a complete dining experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Surprisingly good for a chain for some reason? I tried burgers, fish and chips, and the fries, and all of them were good enough to want to come back for them. Reasonable pricing (except for the wings), and good portion sizes.

I tried a few cocktails which were solid.

Atmosphere was fine. Whatever is between Applebee's and Texas Roadhouse is what it felt like 😂

Service was great! The waitress (sorry I forgot her name) was super accommodating of my two month old and was attentive the whole time.

Overall, a solid option if you're looking for a standard bar food chain!

We live local to the area and never went there. My wife and I decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. And our waitress Hope was definitely on her game that day. everything was very good, no complaints here absolutely going back

My fiancé and i sat at the bar…We sat there for about 10 minutes no one came
over so we moved down a few seats…the bartender then came over and said “oh yeah i seen you guys sitting there, and i figured you guys left “ didn’t even acknowledge us she seen us or anything…once we placed our order i was up charged for my finances drink for some reason..never got the waters we ordered with our drinks..We had our empty glasses sit on the edge of the bar and she didn’t even noticed them..When we ordered our fries they came out cold..Our zingers came out and wings didn’t even get the side of fries that we ordered we had to ask where the side was when we got them once again they were cold and we asked for extra blue cheese and we didn’t even get the extras we ordered…by the time the extras came out we were done eating..definitely will be awhile before we go back.

Came in just because they were not busy and it was 11:00 Husband and I ordered our drinks we ordered spinach artichoke dip which was not even put on our check to grilled chicken sandwiches. It is now 1135. We still do not have our sandwiches. And there is nobody in the restaurant. 11:40 If it wasn’t for the bartender, we would not have our So I give her props.11:43 food finally came out. The manager finally came out and did his rounds. Managers did take the appetizer off the bill. Manager was nice and polite, but he needs to make sure that his weight staff is more attentive to the patrons that come in the place. The food was ok

We found Miller’s during our road trip to Hershey Park. We had a large group and several hungry/cranky kiddos.
The hostess was wonderful. She sat us right away and got the kids set up with crayons to keep them occupied.
The wait staff was kind and patient. Our sever offered to take care of the kids meals, allowing us time to look at the menu.
The food was great and everyone left happy!
We will definitely stop on our next drive down!

Came in for lunch was really feeling down 😔 Kimberly was amazing 👏 she was social and attentive . I left feeling so much better . Keep her at all cost a bartender who truly cares is hard to find . I will definitely be returning ☺️
