I’m very disappointed by the attitudes of staff at this location. I came in for ONLY smoothies with a group of 10 kids (1 1/2 hours before closing) and we felt like a complete burden to the workers. Instead of greeting us, they automatically said “you’re going to have to wait 45 minutes” which I said I was fine with - they then proceeded with an eye roll. Any customers that came in after us, they made it known that because we were there, there was going to be a wait time. When my kids said thank you after receiving their smoothies, the one worker would reply with only “yeah” in a negative tone. I understand we were a bigger group but if you don’t like your job, don’t work there!! Our smoothies only took 15 minutes to come out - it seemed like they were exaggerating the time so that they didn’t have to serve us and to make us leave. The atmosphere was great, smoothies were mediocre, and the staff was very ignorant.

The first bowl I got from this place was on the day of opening, there was a long hair in my bowl…I pushed it aside because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the last 2 times I got them the acai nutella bowls taste terrible, bland and bitter, I was expecting something sweet but it was not sweet. Not to mention it’s just a bunch of childish teenage kids running the place. I always buy from What’s Shaken in Kingston and I wanted to give Playa Bowl a try but never again will I be going to Playa bowls.

Do not come here if you care about cross-contamination. I don't think I've come here once without getting some trace of another ingredient in my bowl that I didn't ask for (usually blueberries). First time I came here, all the tables reeked of an old cleaning rag. Person at the register is usually rather off-putting.

I have been looking for a decent Acai bowl place in the area. I'm familiar with Playa Bowls stores and figured I'd give this one a try. First...it may have just been me, but this place is not the easiest to find. I'm a decent navigator, and I missed how to get into this plaza twice. I almost gave up and went somewhere else. To be fair, this entire plaza is a cluster of unmarked plaza's that seem like a maze to get around. Regardless, once I found out how to get there, I had a typical Acai Bowl, which was delicious. The atmosphere is awesome here with great decorating and good music playing. I'd recommend giving it a try if you are in search of a good bowl place.

Omg I’m giving this place a 5 star ⭐️ by far THE BEST! Playa bowl place I ever encountered. They have a very pleasant staff they substitute for extra toppings when you don’t like flakes or nuts like myself and definitely appreciate your business. I will definitely come back to this location I don’t mind the hour drive at all. THANK YOU PLAYA BOWL!!!!
