My first time there today. I was a little intimidated at first but I could clearly see this was a fun family owned business that really wanted to out of their way to make people happy. And that’s exactly what they did. I left there satisfied and felt like I made a few friends in the process. Was in town for work, staying at the Genetti...out walking and I came across Helmrichs...and I am certainly glad I did!!! Due to circumstances of work, I only grabbed the "Louisiana Shrimp Gumbo" to enjoy "later". Later finally came and WOW was I impressed (not easy to do)!!! OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD!!!

The quality, selection, and service here is all fantastic. Owners and staff are very knowledgeable about everything they sell and the prices are very reasonable. Also, their shrimp is by far some the best I have ever had! I consider this place a hidden Gem I was very lucky to find!
