“Great place!! The food is absolutely amazing. This is my favorite restaurant out of all my reviews. This is a must when I am in Williamsport.The shrooms are excellent. The mozzarella and capicola is phenomenal.And the cheesecake is freakin great!”

“Had dinner at John Ryan's last evening. We were seated in the tavern (per our reservation request) which is below the main dining area. It's a quiet and dark room with stone walls and exposed beam ceiling. Made for a cozy atmosphere.Our server, Kylee, presented us with menus and took our drink orders. I was thirsty for their Limoncello Martini, but also curious about their latest brew called a Dandelion Ale and asked for a taster of that. Our drinks arrived and the ale was delicious. Crisp with a slight citrus edge. To me, it would be a perfect summer beverage. My martini was sublime - the limoncello lended a perfect combo to the gin. So much so that I had two that evening.Appetizer of our choice were the Bao Buns. Hubby was a bit hesitant but that didn't last long. The soft pillowy steamed buns holding tender seasoned pork, pickle, cilantro, and a spiked mayo gave just the right kick and had us both wishing for more.Mains were just as delicious. The curry pork katsu for me hit the spot. Battered and fried thinly sliced pork over rice with carrots and potatoes complete with a delicious curried Japanese sauce drizzled over everything. The pork melted in my mouth and the whole dish was just incredible.Hubby got one of his favorite dishes, the duck confit, and it definitely did not disappoint. Fall off the bone tender. He completely cleaned his plate!We were curious about dessert and decided to go for it. Irish apple cake and a Bailey's cheesecake - both specials for St. Patrick's Day. I have to say that dessert was the least favorite of our meal. The piece of cake was quite small - two bites and it was basically gone. The cheesecake was interesting. Good flavor and creamy but the crust seemed off. Almost like it had been burned with a cooking torch as it gave off a burnt sugar flavor and the color was quite black. Not sure if it was intentional and I failed to question it. Instead I just scooped out the filling and left the crust on my plate.........BUT! This didn't matter because we fell in love with the place and the food (other than dessert) has us wanting to return. We both saw other plates on the menu that we want to try and we'll definitely be back. The atmosphere and service alone were outstanding. It's a beautiful building and establishment and we look forward to our next visit.One further note - not sure if there is a parking lot nearby but we were able to park along the street just steps from the front door.”

“Visiting our daughter at college and a Google Maps search for food landed us at Barrel 135. The reviews sold us and after stepping inside, we were not disappointed!The cocktail menu had a lot of great options, we tried 4 or 5 and were impressed with each one for different reasons.Food was not what I expected walking in, but was right up our alley for something different. The short rib ramen was great, nice big chunks of meat, a good kick in the broth, and was something that I wouldn’t typically land on at a first-time visit… but glad I did. The poke bowl and seared tuna were also great options and tasted great.Desserts were out of this world, we literally each got our own because we couldn’t decide on one to share. Again, zero disappointment in that decision and would do it again.Our server was fun and energetic, made us feel like we had been friends for years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will most certainly take this stop again when we’re back in the area.”

“My wife and I were visiting a cousin in S Williamsport. We're from the Philly suburbs and are mostly unfamiliar with Williamsport restaurants. Fortunately, I had seen a piece on Peter Herdic on the PCN channel and was quite impressed. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, nice service and an attractive, if a bit dated, environment. It is an old mansion so understood. An ex Ellenton dining experience.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our party of 10+ enjoyed The James bar vibe over their dining vibe, but the food we did have was very good.The environment is warm & welcoming whether it be morning or night. We had a blast, and honestly the bartenders both Friday & Saturday night made our experience top notch! They were conversational, knowledgeable of the area, friendly, easy going, funny, and overall the high-light of our stay.They handled our large party with ease and respect. We were definitely loud and roudy and they adapted to that ? and made our stay pleasant.Billy & Hunter are both class acts and next time we visit the area, we hope they're working because they will be the reason we stay in the Holiday Inn again. ?If you stay here, definitely consider a sit down at The James, and when you do, i hope you have a chance to meet these two wonderful bartenders! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“The food was pretty good. Had the hot scallop salad. It's not too bad, and everything paired well. Some inattention to cleanliness as the floor was in need of sweeping. The bathroom was clean, though. The service was great, and our server was excellent!”

“As a former restaurant owner who has never wrote a review,I feel obliged to share our wonderful experience.Traveling back to Montgomery county Pa less than 2 weeks ago we hit the seasons first snow storm.Stopping in Williamsport we stumbled upon this restaurant.Even though they were closing they graciously welcomed us.Not only was the food excellent so was the company.The owner showed us around and shared with us its rich history.Great time and great food which what it’s all about!Especially coming from two people who love to try new places.A must visit!!!!!!”

“We had my mother in laws 90th birthday at morrones and it was superb. Everyone was able to enjoy their entrees with the vast menu that had selections for 2 total vegans, 1 total carnivore, and three pasta with seafood lovers. Waiter got everyone’s meal perfect and timed the cake we brought out perfectly. We can’t thank everyone for making a 90th birthday surprise so wonderful.Terri Starr”

“Boom City has always been a welcoming environment with delicious food. Staff are welcoming and pleasant to talk to. Food is delicious, never had any issues. Beer is good. Would recommend to anyone in the Williamsport area looking for a bite to eat.”

“Breakfast is great, Ample amount of food. The breakfast potatoes are incredible. The pancakes are huge. Average price for a breakfast anywhere in the neighborhood. Definitely go check it out.”

“Even though I have had TGI Fridays in TN many, many times, I do believe this one is my favorite. Not only was all of the food absolutely delicious, the service was on point. Our server was so so sweet, helpful and took great care of a 7-person table. I am very impressed.”

“Haven't eaten inside since covid, but their take out is out standing. I'm a picky eater and order my food to be prepared a certain way. They never let me down, ALWAYS exactly the way I order it. I've only had one issue (I'm only mentioning this is because, they made my order from scratch again and offered to paid to have it delivered on their dime. I said no, because I forgot to stop at Giant for my husband. If your wondering what the issue was....I can't eat or smell black pepper, makes me sick. It was on my steak. I handed back the uneaten order and the young lady there suggested if I didn't mind, there use to be a gentleman with a shopping cart that sat by Rite aid (homeless I believe) I think he made balloon figures. Thank goodness he was out on the bench that night, I asked if he would like a meal. He smiled and said yes, he'd love something to eat. Highly recommend take out or dinning in ?”

“Birthday dinner celebration...Our server was friendly, but harried. And seemed not well acquainted with the menu or how to join the TR VIP..He forgot to bring out our appetizer (blooming onion), so we had him deduct it from our bill. The food was great except for the entree we ordered TO GO.. (chicken strip basket green beans and steak fries), when we got home, we found the Chicken Strips were so overcooked and hard, they had to be thrown out...(total waste of $14.00 + tax)Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sides 4 for $10.99!”

“My son and I really enjoyed this place! The food bars were fresh, flavorful and lots to choose from. Loved the chips queso and chili station as well! The desserts were yummy! Our steaks and potatoes were cooked perfectly and very nice quality! Server was very good. We will def be back! Prefer this over Villa and Texas Toadhouse. By far. Very pleasantly surprised! Loved it!”

“I absolutely love the food here. Beyond great & size portions good for the money. My only issue is twice in a row, they have forgotten to give something I’ve ordered when using to go. It’s a simple mishap that does happen but it’s more often than I prefer cause it’s a semi far drive for me. Other than that, great place for some excellent food!”

“Cocktail bar on the rise! Popped in out of the blue to discover that they had a new cocktail menu. Tried several things off of it , and requested custom cocktails. All of them were divine. Their staff were highly knowledgeable and willing to make you a cocktail that would blow your socks off regardless of liqueur choice. Would highly recommend!”
