John Ryan Brewery is a standout dining experience. Their curated, compact menu speaks to a refined and thoughtful approach — each dish is unique and ever-changing, which keeps every visit fresh and exciting. The atmosphere is the perfect balance: elegant and inviting without pretension. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality dining with character. The portions are appropriate for an al la carte style menu. Truly a treat. Thank you!

Where do I start. You walk in, atmosphere and ambiance is perfectly balanced with the modern contemporary simplistic design. The preserved architecture catches your eye and is just a constant pleasure to observe. Our server was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Then the drinks and food arrive. Everything was delicious. Perfectly cooked and reasonably priced mind you. Flavors linger in your mouth long after each bite. I honestly have nothing bad to say. This place has achieved a harmony. And I will be returning, often.

This venue does not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The bartender, Nate, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly knows his craft. The lighting was perfect, creating the ideal vibe for a night out.
The menu may be small, but every item is intentional and well thought out. And the cocktails? Absolutely beautiful and expertly curated — you can taste the care in every sip.
After visiting so many spots in Williamsport that fell short, this place is truly a hidden gem. We only wish we had discovered it sooner!

Wonderful experience from the moment we walked in. Great ambiance, service, and delicious food. This is not your typical brewery menu — every dish we tried felt carefully considered, beautifully balanced, and executed with a chef’s touch.
We started with the Asian pear salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasonal — a light, crisp beginning that set the tone for the meal. The shrimp and grits followed, and it was pure comfort: creamy, rich, and deeply flavorful, with shrimp cooked just right.
One of the unexpected highlights was the roasted Brussels sprouts with onsen egg. The Brussels were caramelized and nutty, but the real star was that egg — silky, perfectly slow-cooked, and complex in flavor, it elevated the entire dish into something memorable. I am still thinking about the egg as we speak.
The Parisian gnocchi was another standout — pillowy soft and served over a squash puree that made it both delicate and satisfying. The gyudan with yakiniku-marinated butcher’s filet showcased the kitchen’s range: tender, perfectly cooked beef with bold, savory depth, balanced by subtle sweetness.
We finished with the spicy Dan Dan noodles with pork tantanme, which brought just the right level of heat and umami richness — hearty, comforting, and absolutely packed with flavor. The noodle was the star of this dish. With the perfect chew to it it was definitely a hit at the table.
To say we were blown away by the food would be an understatement. Honestly, this is one of those spots where the food could hold its own even without the beer. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-executed. If you’re looking for a brewery with a legit food menu, this one’s worth the trip. 🍻✨

Impromptu Date Night…
Finally got the chance to check out a buddy’s restaurant in Williamsport — they’ve been open for a bit now, and I’d been meaning to stop in. Upon entry, we were greeted with great hospitality, generosity, and some easy conversation that set the tone for the night.
The food? Absolutely flawless. Every dish made you want to slow down, savor each bite, or just nibble and appreciate the craftsmanship behind it.
Each bite carried a sense of freshness and perfectly balanced flavor — everything was clockwork and looked incredible on the plateware, even better in person.
The chew on the Dan Dan noodles, the silkiness of the gnocchi, and that crème brûlée… all standouts. Actually, the smooth custard texture of the onsen egg had me locked in too. Scratch that — the whole experience was exactly what I’ve been looking for when it comes to local dining.
Anyways, right to it, we had…
The Geisha & Pineapple Skies Drinks
Asian Pear Salad
Mini Shrimp & Grits
Roasted Brussels w/ Onsen Egg
Parisian Gnocchi
Gyudan w/ Yakiniku Marinated Butcher Filet
Spicy Dan Dan Noodle w/ Pork Tantanmen
Furthermore it was good seeing you John, we will talk again, keep on keeping on! Much appreciated, we loved it!

Wow what an incredible place to visit and enjoy a meal! I travel a lot of work and this is my go to place when I visit Williamsport. As of writing this review this was my third time visiting John Ryan Brewery for dinner and I must say the consistency of service quality, food and drink is on point. I recommend their Dan Dan Noodles and the Petite Filet. The beer is really good and love their cocktails. I recommend the fruited French Saison and the “I want you” cocktail. The service quality is impeccable and I always felt welcomed and engaged as a guest from the staff.

We were in town for the Little League World Series and wanted to catch the games on TV while having a great dinner. Alyssa, our amazing waitress at John Ryan Brewery, made it happen by seating us in their unique downstairs tavern. The tomato salad was fresh and flavorful, the petite filet melted in my mouth, and the cheeseburger was next-level delicious. Fantastic service, awesome vibe, and incredible food—can’t wait to come back!

My wife and her sister dined here last Thursday and had a good time except for the fact that the owner walked past them dozens of times and not once did he say Hi or ask how the food was. but he had no problem making a fuss over some of the regular patrons. They were very disappointed to the fact that all of your customers are important and should be treated as such. I was going to bring her there for a special occasion but am rethinking it now.
