One of the two best breweries in Pennsylvania. Great industrial history, great Brewing, great service and great food carts. Unbeatable and worth a visit from anywhere. Veritable dynomite!
Great place great taste!
This was our 3rd time passing thru Williamsport and 3rd time stopping at New Trail. Dog friendly, GREAT beer, nice outdoor patio and the southern food truck was outstanding! will definitely stop again!
I went the week before Christmas to celebrate my best friend and my birthday…it was an amazing time. The staff was amazing could answer questions about certain types of beer. I wanted a pint glass so bad to purchase but there weren’t any on the shelf. I asked a worker if they had any in the back and showed him a picture…out he came with two brand new pint glasses. They are always coming out with new flavors that my friend and I can’t keep up! Awesome place to visit! Definitely 5 stars 🌟
Great, exceptional beer! Very nice & comfortable taproom. They clearly pay attention to brewing science and their product(s) speak volumes to “crisp” fresh beers! These guys are premium professionals.
First of all, we absolutely love this beer. I personally haven't visited the brewery but my husband has and had an excellent experience. The beer, though...haven't had one beer I didn't like. If you haven't tried them, do it. The IPAs are our personal favorites, so I can't speak to most other types they offer. But every single IPA I have tried has been phenomenal. They also are involved in the community, supporting Ks for cancer for my buddy's friend who died too young of cancer. So they're awesome.
Also, I bought a glass as a gift for my husband, and it was chipped when it arrived (obviously not their fault - USPS probably). When I asked for a replacement, they kindly sent me two and made sure to pad them even extra to avoid a chip. Great beer, great brewers, great brewery.
Hidden spot … If you don’t go slow you’ll pass it … Very good drink choices on a hot day
Had a great visit here. Very diverse selection of beers and plenty of seating. Nice outdoor seating options as well. Friday had a food truck serving tasty pizzas. Employees are very friendly and helpful. It is in the rear of a industrial park so be sure to follow the signs
We come here almost every time we’re in Williamsport so about once a month. Love bringing our dog to interact with the customers and other dogs. And our dog loves to visit. He whines with excitement on our approach. Oftentimes the brewery hosts events, like dog adoption drives, or 10K walks. Never been disappointed. There is something for everyone. I’m not a beer drinker and always have the cocktails mixed with locally produced gin, bourbon, tequila and vodka. Always delicious and meticulously presented. Hubby always stocks up on their Crisp lager to take back home. Outside seating, and fire pits for when it’s cold. Local food trucks are available for when you’re hungry. Staff are so friendly and efficient.
New Trail Brewing offers a great space to kick back and enjoy some beer. There’s plenty of parking, which is a huge plus, and the interior and outdoor seating options are generous and comfortable — no crowding or scrambling for a spot here. The beer selection is solid, with a variety of styles that should satisfy most preferences.
That said, I was surprised and honestly a bit disappointed by one policy: they don’t offer complimentary samples. I’ve visited many breweries across Pennsylvania, and this is the first one I’ve encountered where a sample costs $2-4. For a place that clearly takes pride in its beer, it seems like a missed opportunity to let customers explore the lineup before committing to a full pour.
Overall, it’s a cool spot with a lot going for it, but the sampling policy definitely puts a dent in the experience — especially if you’re trying to find a new favorite.

New Trail Brewery is, unquestionably, one of THE coolest places in this town. (Those are pretty hard to find around here, but the not-many that we have definitely make up for the lack of quantity with extra-high quality.)
It's a functioning brewery and distributor AND bar AND community gathering space that hosts fundraising events for numerous charitable causes (our local, public library, for example).
The staff are all fantastic. Everyone is friendly, relaxed and professional, very helpful, and they all seem very happy to be there, so, while I'm only guessing, the owner must be taking good care of their workers. (I'll ramp up my promotion if I learn that they support labor unions! 👍😊)
New Trail is family-friendly AND (leashed) dog-friendly. 😍🐕🐕🦺🐶 They have a lot of fun merch available for sale (kind of pricey but very good quality; I bought a hoodie. 🤭 And I love it. 😁
A good place where everyone feels welcomed and relaxed (unless there's live music playing - that's when the dancing happens). Oh, and they support their fellow, local business owners by hosting the largest variety of food trucks I've ever seen at the same time and location, every time I've been there.
What's not to love??
Always a number of great brews on tap.
The Lightning Bug was my favorite. I unfortunately left without taking any home and home and hope that I find it in NEPA.
Plenty of outdoor seating.
Great space with lots of seating both in and out! Nice beer and cocktail selections as well!
Great beer. Huge indoor and outdoor space. Great selection of packaged beer to go.
