What a great little gem hidden in Williamsport ! Called for take out but spent 30 minutes talking with the owner Sophia.. I could have sat and chatted all evening but had to get home and enjoy a great meal. Next time reservations and sit down meal.

Dining at the Olive Tree in Williamsport is like stepping into your grandmother's kitchen for a homemade Mediterranean meal. The food is bursting with authentic flavors—every bite feels like it’s made with love and care. The owner Sophia makes you feel right at home. The Olive Tree is a real gem in Williamsport. If you're craving a warm, comforting meal that feels like it was made by family, I can’t recommend the Olive Tree enough. Make sure to top off the meal with some of Sophia's homemade baklava. It seems like she always has dozens of flavors to choose from and they're all delicious.

I’ve lived in Williamsport for a while and sadly I’ve never heard about the Olive Tree, I wish I knew about this place sooner!
We ordered take out for the first time. Everything was so well seasoned and delicious! We got the chicken gyros and the falafel dip. It could not have been more tasty and filling. Can’t wait to go back to eat inside next time!

There are already good vegan options on the menu, but we discussed with Sophia what we liked and she suggested something perfect. We had a lentil wrap and falafel on pita: she added whole garlic cloves. Excellent and good fries with it.

Sophia herself is part of the charm: she asked about our trip, told us a bit about her business history, showed us brochures about her home island.

Travelers: the restaurant isn’t right on Pine Street but off the alley that runs beside the building.

Vegetarian options: And she will adapt recipes to make them vegetarian or vegan.

Amazing food and even better atmosphere. The owner does all the cooking herself and makes you feel like you're a part of the family!

Odd little place, very much off the beaten path. You really need to know where it is in order to dine here. We enjoyed their gyros, and they tasted wonderful. She makes enjoyable food. The owner is an old school Greek lady, with a few little quirks, but who really seems to take pride in serving good food. And overall, she is very pleasant and conversant. We enjoyed meeting her. Only real negative is that this is a cash only business (or check, but no credit cards or debit cards). These days, we rarely have cash on us, and we never carry a checkbook any more. Still glad we tried this place, and the food was very good.

I agree with everything the previous reviewer stated. However her communication style is cultural. She is direct and no nonsense which felt off-putting at first. In talking to her after our meal we found that this is the oldest restaurant in Williamsport, she owns olive trees in Greece and imports the oil, she makes everything from scratch, and she wants to sell the place to someone who will keep it going. Unlike the previous poster the menu had green swirls to indicate what could be vegetarian or vegan. Don’t go between 2-5 if you can help it. The falafel wrap I got was quite good and the seasoned fries had a great flavor. The portion of hummus on the wrap was large—not the little smear you get at most places.
