5 PLUS stars!! Took a ride from Williamsport over the weekend and had an amazing dinner at Saffron in Lewisburg. We’ve been to the old location many times…love the location of the new restaurant and the food is better than ever! So many delicious appetizers, pastas and dinners on the menu make it difficult to decide, so we order a few and share. We also like that’s it’s BYOB! Chef Maher is a welcoming, creative and talented chef and we’re very happy to have his fantastic restaurant in our area. Excited for another trip to Saffron in Lewisburg very soon!

Went in during the Ice Festival against my better judgement. This is an establishment meant for the NYC stuck up college crowd for sure! Service was abysmal! There were 3 couples in our party and everyone ordered different items no prices on menu- there is the red flag that your wallet is in for a hurting!!. My "meal" consisted of 3 tiny pieces of lamb with 2 little cubes of potato and one brussel sprout, all drizzled with some nasty sauce. The food was pathetic, a fast food value meal would have been more satisfying and definitely would have given me a larger quantity of food at least! The bills came and strangely even though every couple in our group ordered something different, all our bills were 136$. No explanation or itemized cost just 136$ for a terrible dining experience please!!! You got me once but NEVER again!

Chef Maher is fantastic. It was hard to pick from the menu because everything appealed to me. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and there is an emphasis on attention to detail. The staff is very friendly, but it is a small restaurant so make sure you call in for a reservation as I don't think they take walk-is.

Perfectly executed dishes with fantastic service. A chef with passion is rare around here! Well done.

Saffron has been in Lewisburg since the summer and is definitely an "upscale" and pricey option. Upside: Atmosphere is very nice. Service was both friendly and excellent and everything we ordered was delicious. It is BYOB. Portion sizes are large, so sharing is a really good idea. Downside: There are no prices on the menu--I guess if price matters you just shouldn't go there. There are prices on the bill--anticipate $200 for 2 without drinks and with some courses shared. Example: our shared pasta course (4 delicious ravioli) was $33 and our very large soup "appetizers" were $14 each. IMO it would feel very crowded if all the tables were occupied. Soda was brought out in a can with a glass of ice. Unimaginable to me--they have no coffee! We wanted it to go with dessert and were told they are waiting for their coffee machine to come in (they have been there since summer) so they do not offer it?? There is a WalMart close by--suggest they make a trip! If we go again we will likely skip the appetizer and just order salads with either a pasta or main course (and we would ask prices on things we considered for those).

Some plates could have used a little more contrast in textures, and some could have used a little more seasoning. Good selection of different appetizers, salads, pasta, and entrees. The dessert menu was lacking quality.

Please do not waste your time or money. Horrible service. It’s apparent why they left the previous town.

This restaurant is not worth the time. The employees are rude and unprofessional. They either don't have enough employees to run the place, or they don't care about making a profit. Either way, they will not last long in this community with that bad attitude.

It’s a shame that this restaurant has bad customer service skills. We need better dining in the area. Please do better! If you don’t have the skills to run a place of business then save yourself the embarrassment.
