The Stonehouse Wood Fired Pizza and Pasteria

Great service, solid pizza, unique topping combos, and lots of allergen friendly options. Really pleasant outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We will definitely be back. Maybe a touch high on price for size of the pizzas, but not so high that we felt ripped off. Worth the splurge when compared to your average local pizza place.

I will say, this place is pretty and I’m sure the food was fine. However, we literally got bounced with 4 VALID ids. We were told that a manager had to be contacted with “out of state ids” as if we’re not 40 minutes from the NYS border. My Lithographic valid enhanced id that could get me ACROSS THE BORDER was “suspicious.” My friend literally gave them his MILITARY ID, and they basically shot it back at him. They told me they couldn’t verify based on its “thickness.” I asked them if they could scan it and they informed me they don’t even have a scanner. At a bar? They should probably invest in one, before they kick out too many more legal adults from their bar without cause. I was so pissed I almost wanted to go grab my passport and shove it in their face.

Cute bar and restaurant on a nice closed off outdoor jut of the town. Can’t say much about the food, but I can remark that the service is absolutely awful. I tried to order a drink and gave the server my ID for age verification. They returned later and refused to serve me because they could not verify that my NYS ID was real. I then presented the general manager with my Federal Military ID which has my photo and date of birth which she looked at for a brief moment then threw back down on the table before reading any of the information on it and once again denying service.

For the business, I would highly recommend some training for the management on their neighboring state’s ID, Federal IDs, and investing in an ID scanner.

Our server Madeline was the kindest and most efficient ever. It was my first time coming here and she was extremely helpful and friendly to me and the rest of the party. Amazing food!!!
