“Was beyond pleased to find this gem while in the area today. My son (celiac) was overjoyed to find they have a whole dedicated Gluten Free menu and full case of desserts to choose from. We ended up eating in and taking extras home. Staff was very kind and went out of their way to make sure we had a five star experience! Even my daughter who is not on a gluten free diet finished a half of a pizza which is unheard of for her. This is my son picture features gluten free mozzarella sticks and hoagie with delicious gluten free artisan roll and loaded with FRESH ingredients! We were sent home with a bag of treats to take home as well! Thanks Grandma’s for making our day!“

“I wanted to leave a review to both rave about your fantastic baked goods and to thank you. My Mom suffered with gluten intolerance and then celiacs. This took away her ability to enjoy some of her favorite foods. We tried to find substitutes at the local grocery stores but nothing really took the place of her favorite baked goods. Finding you was a miracle! She loved your cookies, bread and Pumpkin Pie!! She looked forward to me bringing home her favorites and surprises like your pretzels and cinnamon buns each week. She just passed away a couple weeks ago but the memories of her enjoying your delicious treats will give me a smile every time I think about those times. Thank you for what you do to bring delicious baked goods to those with gluten intolerance.“

“Sunday was my first visit to Zakes Cafe. The food was tremendous. I had the blueberry pancakes, the home fries, and bacon. However, the potatoes and the bacon were cold when they reached the table. I realized that the restaurant was busy, so I did not send anything back. I will return. However, if the food is cold again, I will send it back. Also, the coffee was very, very good.“

The cheesesteak rolls are delicious to the point of ordering an extra one because you’ll be mad you didn’t get another one. The salmon rolls are, again, one of the reasons Chase’s is a little gem. It’s what makes Philadelphia a city claim passionately. This food is made with love and I love this food!“

“All good things to say ! The pizza was very very good !! The crust was excellent. We had the Margarita pizza and the sauce was just sweet enough ! One small thing….. don’t believe the prices on the web site . The site said the price of the pizza was $16 and change (crossed out, now $15 and change). When I picked up , it was $22. The owner pointed out that it was the “large” margarita that was $22 …. But …. The web site only provided one price for one pizza . It didn’t offer other sizes at other price points. This was the story on the restaurants web site and other web sites that promote the restaurant.
So
Just be aware of that.

All that being said…. We will be back again because their food is really good.“

“I've frequented the Broad Axe for quite some time and love it for the friendly and welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. The food is good and they have an extensive beer and spirits list. The skilled bartenders can whip up anything to suit a mood or taste.“

“As a child, I went to middle school one block away from this diner. I walked by all of the time in those days today. Now i just drive by always wanted to stop but never did but I’ve always been curious so it’s 61 years old today. I had a couple of extra minutes and I stopped in and I must tell you I was very impressed, the food was very tasty portions. The place was clean and my server. Diane was awesome. That will not be my last time there. It took me 61 years but I made it. Bucket list“

“Crust was an accidental find. I was strolling down the main street in Manayunk and the familiar vegan word caught my eye. Inside, I was surprised by the variety of baked goods, past the usual cupcakes and cookies. Multiple refrigerators house cheesecakes, cake cups, tiramisu, breakfast bakes, monkey bread, and more. We bought a seeded card (Mother's Day is around the distant corner) and a chocolate strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry cheesecake was dense and creamy with a crispy Oreo crust. “Everything here is amazing. I believe Kelly is the best server here, regarding manners, kindness, speed, and quality of our meals Me and my mother just finished our meal. The food and drinks came so fast, and the service is excellent. My dietary needs were met completely. This restaurant is the best one I have ever been to. I recommend 3 dishes. The grilled chicken margherita with a side of broccoli, the chicken and gnocchi soup, and the chicken marsala fettuccine pasta. They're my favorites. I am definitely coming here again. 100/10.
