I’m not sure what went wrong here with their sides. Meat is ok but stay away from the green beans or baked beans. Green beans are a string nightmare and baked beans are def from a can. Not worth the price.

I'm assuming the owner/cook checked me out and greeted me, he was very friendly and jovial. There's no seating for the restaurant itself, but the food is supposedly offered in the bar so I'd assume you could eat in there, membership permitting.

This is was the best BBQ joint I've eaten from. My first few bites of moist, smokey brisket sent me back to the times when I had a family gathering with that one uncle that knew how to use a grill and smoker. Pictured eating this food on a paper plate on a foldout lawn chair with family shooting the crap around. I couldn't recommend this place enough, even with it being a tad bit expensive but it's so worth it.

If you're traveling (since the Fairfield is down the street) and craving some good BBQ, dish out the couple extra bucks and support the local guy who puts actual love into his food. Hell, do it even if you live here.

Parking: Shared building with the Legion. Restaurant is around back but can park wherever.

Perfect smoke rib. Wow. This is true smoke. If you don't want to spend 3-4hrs at your back yard. Try this rib. I bought 1/2 rib to try it. Now I know I should buy full rib or more. See you soon.

Hot damn! Ever have a plate of food that just settled your hunger and your soul at the same time. Well this is it! Drove past this place a week ago and decided to stop in tonight, and boy am I glad I did. Food was excellent! Service was amazing!
Living only a mile away… I can happily say I’ll be back.

Just visited this place today for the first time and WOW those ribs were amazing. Best ribs you can find around.

Ordered take out.
The ribs were dry rubbed but had sauces on the side. They were good, not great.
The catfish was great though, lightly fried and delicious.
The mac n cheese was good and the collards ok.
Will go back and try the chicken and brisket.

I cannot believe I forgot to write a review after my takeout. I think I got one about two months ago. The food is slamming. I actually really loved his carrot (ginger-infused) and string bean sides(infused with garlic). Our dishes were beyond appropriate size, and I thought the flavors were wonderful. My chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and mt husband very much enjoyed his brisket. The only thing missing is a couple of benches or a location where there could be ambience. I know that’s a heavy investment, but I hope Chef gets there someday for a small picnic area.

Located next to American Legion hall. Visiting friends from out of town. The food is phenomenal! Large portions too. Gentleman who helped us was patient and very friendly too. We really loved it. Thank you! Highly recommend. A++

Food & sides were excellent & so was the service. Highly recommend. Bar was also good, friendly staff & cheap drinks. We will definitely be back again soon
