First, we ordered takeout at 5:01 and waited until 5:51 for it to be ready, only to have our order incorrect. Waited another ten minutes for them to correct the order. Finally got it home, and open the salad to find a long black hair with meat and cheese clinging to it. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. Absolutely unacceptable and Bella’s at Coal Heritage Center will never have my business again. 🤮
Hair in the food. Wrong order. Mediocre at best.
I ordered a large stromboli and garlic knots yesterday around 3pm. When I arrived to pick up my order it was not busy and no vehicles were in the parking lot and my order was sitting on top of the pizza oven. Bella's at Coal Heritage Center offers a variety of dining experiences, from delicious haddock dinners with great sides to standout pizza featuring big NY-style slices and generous toppings. The fried zucchini and cheese sticks receive high praise, and the decadent tiramisu is a favorite. There have been some reports of inconsistency in food quality, with certain dishes lacking key components or having weak flavor. The service is often described as efficient and attentive, especially when the owner is present, as he ensures the food is perfect and delicious. However, some customers have noted that the quality can vary depending on who is preparing the dishes. Parking is easy, and there is a drive-through pickup option. Prices are moderate, but some diners have felt overcharged for disappointing meals. Overall, Bella's is considered a fine addition to the Windber area, though there is room for improvement in food consistency.
