Owner of this place is horrible. He condones domestic violence. Specifically strangulation and has been know to abuse his wife and his girlfriends. Would not recommend this place based on that alone.

I ordered a couple trays of pizza today, and when I stopped to pick them up….they fine folks at D’arc’s had given my pizzas to another person.
But….they took this as an opportunity to build relationships with customers!!
(Not that I needed help. I’ve been eating their pizza for 40+ years!).
But they made it right with me, and their pizza is as great as always!

This is the kind of place where you can go to feel the nostalgia and atmosphere of the original people of Windber .Great food created by great people,served by smiling,caring and concerned people and the owner that comes around to chat and make sure everything is satisfactory. Gotta love"m at D'Arc's.We"ve never had an unsatisfactory meal there.Soup,salad, PIZZA and a Cold beer, It's ALL good at D'Arc's

The atmosphere, the wonderful people who work there, the attitude, the friendliness, the professionalism, the attentiveness to customers and let’s not forget the delicious menu items. What a pleasant dining experience.
The traditional pizza is outstanding, not to mention the homemade meatballs, sauce and delicious hot sausage.
No matter what the occasion, stop in, sit at the bar and have a beer in a frosted glass and take it all in. You will leave happy.
Also, the take out business is like no other. People in and out picking up food. All known by name.

Truly wonderful neighborhood dining experience. Memorabilia and decor that captures the community and its people. Hot sausage sandwiches amazing and the pizza is delicious.
Grew up here in town. Always having parties and get togethers. Beautiful interior with pure Windber Nostalgia. Plus the pizza and bread are the second best in Windber. They've been there since the 60s so somethings gotta be right!!
Parking: Small Lot but plenty of auxiliary spots with a free library a half a block away..
Kid-friendliness: They will accommodate any child no matter the situation. And even cut their food up if they are fussy. Love these Servers..
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and good spots for handicapable people to easily access.

My husband and I frequent D'Arcs a couple days a week. We love the atmosphere and we just love the waitresses. The kitchen staff on the other hand has more to be desired. On Sundays it seems like they have more time to not pay attention to the orders. This is the third pizza we have ordered on a Sunday, and it is the third time our pizza has been burnt the whole way around the outside crust. I guess it's more important to stand watching the game on TV than keeping an eye on the oven. We don't want to go elsewhere for pizza. We love the D'Arc family and want to continue supporting their family business for years to come. I just hope these young men get their priorities straight. We love supporting small businesses and will continue.
