Historical. Beautiful. Warm and welcoming. ⚠️Just be forewarned: you will find Moose and Bison hanging out along the walls. But also tasty food, Happy hour (hello Guinness on tap!) and a convenient location (across from Sheetz). Stop by and taste a bit of Windber history.
Never forget the kind old Polish or Italian man running the bar in 2011, who gave us shots of grey goose for $ 1.25 and would regularly give us free shots to kill off bottles. These are core college memories for me and I will always remember the Winder Hotel with good memories!
What a wonderful experience! The food is excellent, a beautiful historical building, the bar area is the old-fashioned bar back. The staff and patrons are very friendly, the type of place that no one is a stranger.The family that owns the hotel are great. They make everyone feel like a part of the family.They annual fundraiser they host for the Humane Society is outstanding, with a great basket raffle all to help our ? ? pets.
