Koko was excellent! She’s prompt professional and attentive. She took my order perfectly & always checks in timely without being overbearing. I came in after a long day with a throbbing headache. I left full happy refreshed! Headache Gone & A Smile! I attribute that to Koko! Excellent Food & Excellent Service Win Win

Unfortunately, I encountered a bad experience with this location. Across two weekends, my friends and I spent about $1500 in this establishment celebrating love one's birthdays. However, given our party was 10 or more a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. I understand this amount is provided to the server (not an issue). The problem is how it is labeled on the final receipt, it is shown in three tiers a total, gratuity and sum total. Most establishments automatically include this fee but not here. It should be up to the customer to determine the gratuity amount if any but an automatic charge was placed on my credit card. Sadly after speaking with the manager Richard, he presented excuses on the poor labeling of how the receipt information is presented. If there was a difference in what a customer authorized and what was owed someone should have communicated that. Sadly nothing was conveyed. No worries at all, those who previously dine will not be returning for any future events. Please pay CLOSE attention to your credit card statement if deciding to dine at this establishment.

Very very disappointed to say the least I understand they closed at 12am however I arrived at 10:45 and it took about 10 mins for waiter to arrive to take my order for her was busy chatting with other tables. Once he arrived to my table he was able to give me some suggestion regarding drink an food. My food literally came to be in less than 5 mins however it hardly was anything in my seafood boil, no sauce nothing about 4 shrimp were in my boil an a very small crab cluster, I also order on the happy hour menu and decide to take the mini crab bite and they taste like cardboard I haven’t been to hook in sometime as it seems like they have changed quite a bit. Upon me beginning to eat my food more guest were coming in however the staff began cleaning right next to me a table that had already been dirty upon my arrival. The staff then began looking at me in rage as if he wanted me to hurry up and eat my food, the server than came over and was in a way implementing that he needed me to hurry an im letting him know I was doing a review as he continues to say he has to clock out. I also looked around an thier are guest enjoying there food while they are continuing to rush me from my table. After about 10 mins the staff comes back over an he asks me did I have anything planned tonight an I said no an he said well I do so hurry up. Now I would take that as a joke however no other guest was approached as such and I continue to remind him of that, I then paid and the staff that was cleaning continued to slam tables next to me while there were multiple tables to clean beside the ones next to me. I did not enjoy my food, was rushed to eat, the portion of food was disappointing and the food was distasteful, the drink I can say was the only thing that was satisfying an I couldn’t even finish that i understood that yall were closing soon but im a paying customer if i sat down to eat food i should be able to do as such. I paid a total of $40 and it was not worth it and I will not be returning.

I come here with my kids sometimes but lately I come after work for happy hour. Food is always good, atmosphere is a plus. However, depending on who the waiter is you may get something you didn’t order and at times it is hard to catch their attention to correct it. Also, the menus are very dirty. I don’t even ask for a menu when I go because they are greasy, breaking apart, and unsanitary.

I want to recognize an amazing server. Her name is KoKo. She works with a smile and fills the atmosphere with joy. She is attentive and pays close attention to detail. Hook & Reel is an establishment with great tasting food! I recommend this restaurant to anyone and when you go make sure you personally ask for KoKo, she will serve you with care and joy!

I had such a great experience at Hook & Reel in Wyncote today! I come here often but it seemed everyone was on their A game. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the service. Sky, the hostess, greeted us with such a warm smile and made us feel welcome right away like the staff always aims to do. She was friendly, professional, and made sure we were seated quickly. in addition, our waitress, Dominique was so friendly and helpful with my sudden change up and decision to try something new. It set the tone for an awesome meal. Swift service from the bartenders as well in regard to our drinks! Highly recommend!
