Took my kids here, played in ballocity and got sick the next day. It was super dirty in there. Ballocity and some of the arcade machines need a real deep cleaning as you can visibly see the dirt. Never again.
This was our first time there. We took our 3 y/o granddaughter. I had 2 coupons from the clipper magazine! The coupon was $30 for $15. Showed them the coupon they said I have to get it online. I scanned the bar code and nothing but 10% off the restaurant. The young guy said "then they are sold out!" How can you be sold out of a coupon? Don't advertise if you only have so many! I have never heard of anything so ridiculous! NOT very friendly either! Horrible first experience to say the least!
So if this is a VOUCHER then I suggest NOT putting them in the Clipper Magazine that goes out to all of Berks County if they are "Limited Quantities!" That's not a brilliant idea!
Two stars bc it's fun, but they need to re-work their Go- kart system. We waited 2 hours for our first race, then had to wait another hour for our second when we purchased them together. The staff doesn't give you accurate race times. There is literally no rhym or reason to the process. You can't order tickets online and no one answers the phone EVER.
My honest reveiew!
When we walked in, the energy wasn't welcoming.
The food wasn't up to standard. I ordered brocolli Fettuccine Alfredo, side salad and a mix drink. The sause was creamy with little to no flavor, the noodles were very over cooked. The garlic bread taste like freezer burn! The broccoli was so hard and undesirable. The mix drink taste like a child put it together.
Next my husband ordered the chicken Fajitas. They brought one thing out at a time, different people serving the food which is fine but didn't seem like they were insinc with one another. We recieved the food before the utensils and napkins. The chicken was very... uncolored. Little to no flavor, the rice was over cooked with too much water added.
The to-go cups are super cheap, I thought my child was going to squish to hard and bust the cup open! Not ideal for children.
I orderd my kids meals, The pizza, mini burgers and fries. My children LOVE fries. I asked for them to be well done/crispy and well they were limp in most areas. Sad. Very sad. My kids left a good amount on their plates and wasn't even worth taking anything home!
We visited the Works about 5 Year ago, and in that time of absence this place has gotten so much worse. I would NOT recommend eating here.
I guess the best entertainment at the table was coocoo the magician! He gets it!
The game room looks so run down. We only decided to load $20 on the game card because their wasn't a bunch of FUN eye appealing games offered. The classic Mario was a hit, & skee ball.
We earned over 300 tickets but that isn't alot to this place. We walked away with two mouth toys, and the rest in Tootsie rolls bc what else is worth it in those cases?? A "big prize" was a small ball or small pig... we picked the ball but how sad were we when we didn't receive a "Big prize" how the ticket had mentioned. Expecting a over sized animal would of been surfice.
Over-all I know the world hates working but we need to do better as businesses to get back on track!
Thanks for taking the time to read, hope this helps :)
Lots of fun games but there are a lot of games that are broken and/or will just eat your points without any compensation.
Food is horrible
Game room is ok
Claw machines can't win anything ..grabs prize it shakes and then it drops before moving to slot to win
My son and his friends are special needs and they don't like the pop balloon game at the works arcade if you can remove it for good
Staff members should really inform parents what the extreme air is these days…..instead of letting them buy everything and the kids can’t do anything in it. Also we ate at the restaurant and our waitress was horrible! Total waste of money!
We always have a great time playing the games . My son did the Xtreme Air too he said Basketball & the slide was fun . I just am not as impressed with the food like I used to be I ordered the sampler it was really greasy the boneless chicken was coated with something that made it burnt My hubbies burger was ok this time
Kids have a great time here playing arcade games, but the slide park is only fun for maybe an hour or so, and then my kids find it "boring." Wish they had kept some of the trampolines.

Stopped by at Noon to purchase several gift cards for Christmas. It did not happen. Called the listed 877 number and, other than being told they're closed today, I received zero help as to when I could return. Let's just say the person who answered might not have been local. Google Maps has the opening time at 11:30am every day. Not on Tuesdays. Waisted my time and now off to another restaurant. Update your information on Google. Surely I'm not the only one who uses it for quick reference.
BEWARE!!!!
We had my son’s 6th birthday here in October. We were all so excited for a ballocity party. When we arrived, his party was actually being held downstairs in a room rather than up in ballocity. It was a huge let down. No one had communicated prior to party time that it wouldn’t be in ballocity. We asked why they overbooked and why no one told us about this when over the phone and in email the party was to be held in ballocity. They claimed they did not overbook and this is just how they did things, no apologies or anything. We also told our guests the party was upstairs so some people didn’t find the party at all. It was an overpriced, boring experience!!! The kids thankfully had punch balloons that I had brought to play with from their goody bags but there was a little pizza oven in the room and servers were coming and going to pick up food. They were definitely annoyed at my son and his friends running around while they waited for pizza and to actually go play. After half the party time, we were told after we ate we could go upstairs to play for as long as we want. But at this point, no one wanted to even stay for long so all the friends that came left after maybe a half hour. it was just a waste of so much money for nothing. The first party host we had was some older lady who was miserable and not pleasant or helpful. Definitely was the most frustrating thing and BEWARE if you want to do a party here. They won’t give you a choice but may end up throwing you downstairs in a boring room with NOTHING to do for a majority of the part even though you pay so much money for kids to have a party at ballocity. Terrible experience and will not be doing parties anymore.
exiting to add a response to the owner, Chip.
Nothing about this was OK. For starters, I never received an email like I have in the past for previous parties. So that was never communicated to me. Also, on the phone, the party was to be held in ballocity There was never any mention that the party could end up being moved to a different room not up in ballocity. Your comment is my exact point to the review I made. There is no communication. And then at the party I was told oh well people love it down here. Well if that’s the case, that people love the party room that’s not up in ballocity, then they could have communicated to everyone that they needed to have a party put down there and they could’ve asked prior to scheduling it not in ballocity. There is zero communication and we got the crap end of the stick. Also, if people love it so much they could’ve put somebody else there who wanted to be there and love it because we did not. My kids and the entire party were bored stuck doing nothing for over an hour. We paid an insane amount of money for mediocre pizza and a terrible experience. And I just wanted people to realize that. And through all this not once had anyone even said sorry including you in this comment which was really crazy to me since you’re the owner I just want people to be aware of how this business is run. I also don’t want there to be any other kids out there getting their expectations up for something that’s not as fun as they were hoping for for their birthday party. You wrecked my son’s birthday and not once did anyone even apologize.
My company hosted a work event here. The food was good, the team catered to us quite professionally, and all of the employees charged with serving us were warm and friendly. I can't speak to their wider operation, but this was my first time here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Food is decent. The service was struggling. I like the games for my kids, but waiting almost 2 hours for food and check isn't ok.
Fabulous Arcade with all your favorite games! Very impressed with layout & content.
Biggest customer concern: The staff at the prize counter appeared bored, disinterested in their job, on their phones, & quite honestly unprofessional.
Laser Tag was AMAZING 🤩!!!!
Such a great price for a great course & a fun event!
Biggest Customer Concern: The staff at the Laser tag were similar in boredom, lack of attention, sitting on phones at front desk, no smiles or saying welcome, & quite honestly the atmosphere was dreary due to the staff.
All the staff members could use training in hospitality & customer engagement. Less employees with greater excitement for job & love for working with people will draw more customers!
Sincerely, Heather
