Private Club founded in 1936 featuring live music several times a week. Great food, great service, and solid location in a suburban residential neighborhood. Older crowd. Non-partisan, despite the name/history. Club recently remodeled and menu re-tooled by the Zeppos Group (of Willoughby's and The Hitching Post fame), who now manage the club. Nice bar, friendly bar staff. The Club is not generally open to non-members/the public, memberships are still available.
They have a wonderful sous chef there that is very creative whose name is Steven his dishes are fabulous if you haven't tried anything that he has made you must try it's amazing
Stopped in to get info on joining. They were very kind, have is she there information we needed and allowed us to stay and have a meal at the bar. There was a live band, an older crowd and the crab bisque was incredible. Membership is less expensive if you're over 35, and don't expect to see many people there under that age. It's a nice change from other local spots; more refined, more mature crowd, and no crazy shenanigans. Great place to take the family for dinner,...
