Im Ghanaian and was confused when I seen Nigerian rice but still ordered waakye, goat , and stew fried fish. It was really good & im picky. Very fresh compared to others I’ve tried in Philly. & you know as Africans we hate ordering others food but it was really good, & spicy enough. Beef pie was okay but everything else was great.

I ordered goat Meat pepper soup, and was given no rice to go with it. I had to order that separate when I went to eat the food. It taste like something old I would never go back there again.

I am visiting Philly and I was looking for a Nigerian restaurant. I ordered online via DoorDash and the food was good. The jollof rice tastes nice. The gizzard dodo is equally nice but they had less gizzard and more dodo. The ponmo is soft and spicy. ?

I ordered assorted meat, but they gave me ponmo and beef. Ponmo and beef is not assorted. That was my only concern. Please don’t sell ponmo and beef as assorted ?

The food was good. I liked the snail and the beans with stew. The meats are very good. I like that their food was not too salty. It was well cooked and they have really good Nigerian food.

A Culinary Journey to Nigeria: A Taste of Authenticity (Fork N Fingers African Restaurant)

From the moment I stepped into this restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with vibrant African art and the rich aromas of spices filling the air. The menu was an impressive showcase of traditional Nigerian dishes, each one a promise of bold flavors and culinary heritage.

I started with the Pepper Soup, which was a perfect blend of spices, giving just the right amount of heat while maintaining a depth of flavor. It set the tone for what was to be an unforgettable meal.

For the main course, I ordered the Jollof Rice with Fried Plantains and Goat Meat. The Jollof was simply perfection — rich, flavorful, and with that signature smokey essence that every good Nigerian Jollof should have. The goat meat was tender and succulent, complementing the rice perfectly. The plantains were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, adding a delightful sweetness to the meal.

The highlight for me was the Pounded Yam and Egusi Soup. It was an explosion of flavors in every bite, with the richness of the Egusi paired beautifully with the soft, pillowy texture of the yam. It felt like I was dining in a home in Nigeria, with every bite reminiscent of authenticity and comfort.

The service was exceptional — the staff was attentive and happy to share recommendations, making the experience even more personal and enriching.

Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone looking to experience the true essence of Nigerian cuisine. Whether you’re familiar with African food or trying it for the first time, this place delivers an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

The food was very tasty full of flavor. Suya tasted like it was definitely re-heated… The food was not spicy at all made to cater to all taste buds. I would say if you are in the area give it a try there is a bit of wait for the food to be ready so call in ahead.

My son and I came from Maryland and visited here for the first time. We ordered peppered snail, fried plantains, white rice and goat meat stew. The food met my expectations; it was tasty and flavorful. The place was clean and the service was excellent. The only minus is the snail was only 2 pieces, but it was delicious so I can’t really complain. We will be visiting again whenever we’re in the area.
