The food is normally good, but today an ingredient had to be spoiled. Me and my friend experienced sickness after eating the crab dip and crab balls. Let's be sure to keep food up to date before serving to the public. Thank you

First time visitor! I stopped at this stand to get some lunch while working nearby. I got some kind of shrimp and crab cake bowl that was on special. It was very tasty and would definitely order it again!

I rarely fine myself in York, but I have been meaning to swing into the market one day. Today was that day, and I am so insanely happy that I did. While I originally went in to pick up my first ever Hefty Lefty order, I walked past 2 Wild and Crabby Guys. At first, I told myself not to be a glutton. I already had what felt like 50 lbs of hoagies. I didn't need anything else.

Eventually, my sense of smell took over and I succumbed to the will of my gluttonous nose. Everyone was super kind and very welcoming. Softshell crab sandwiches are on my Mt. Rushmore of best sandwiches in the world, and for whatever reason I hadn't had an opportunity to eat one in a few years. So, I ordered the Crab Squared—a sandwich with softshell crab, crab cake, lettuce, tomato, and slaw.

Immediately after my first bite, I realized that I should know better by now than to question my nose. This thing was insanely delicious. The crab cake was not all filler and old bay. The softshell was meaty which is hard to find unless you are dining somewhere coastal. Biting through the perfect roll for such a sandwich that had a good pull on the outside, but absorbed the perfect amount of oil and cream from the slaw was the prequel to crunching through the softshell, and getting a hint of that crab cake. The paprika and old bay danced beautifully with the bright and perfectly citrusy creaminess of the slaw that would be brought even further to life with the suggested dash of Crystal hot sauce. I have never experienced the effects of ayahuasca, but this couldn't be far off.

There are not many good seafood spots in this area. There certainly are not many good "grub-centric" seafood joints, if any. I would warn anyone who thinks that they can compete to make sure they first explore the 2 Wild and Crabby Guys menu and then go back to the drawing board. This is one of the two best softshell crab sandwiches I have ever had the honor of putting into my mouth.

The cream of crab soup was also delicious. I don't mean to cast it aside, as it too deserves love and for someone to wax poetically about its deliciousness.

...but that sandwich, though.

I would let that sandwich take my mother out for a nice seafood dinner.

everything was delicious. seriously. all items weren't just good but really good. Best meal I've had in a long time. maybe alittle more sherry in cream of crab. but those lumps and claw meat which is sweeter. I'm truly impressed. and that gumbo flavor so good it will make you emotional.

I really wanted to go here...the meal descriptions sounded superb!!
However, the page on Google does NOT mention business hours...upon arriving at the "market" (which is in an old brick church) on a Monday morning, there was a sign on the building, stating that the market was ONLY open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I asked a couple sitting outside if this information was accurate and they yes.
I don't understand why that information is NOT listed, so I can plan accordingly.
Unfortunately the White Rose gained my business instead, and is the reason I gave this establishment 3 of 5 stars. ??????

We appreciate a good seafood experience!

Side note: I ate all the shrimp before thinking about taking a picture! ? Sorry!

If you find yourself in the Central Market House in York, do yourself a favor and make a beeline straight to the 2 Wild and Crabby Guys kiosk. I get it nearly every time I'm there and it never disappoints. I love to take my meal over to the seating area and listen to whatever band or artist is playing there on Saturday afternoons.Today, I got a beautiful Greek salad special with a crab cake on top and a side of crab and shrimp bisque. The salad was so yummy that I went back to get another one to-go for dinner. Just as importantly, the workers are always lovely. I would highly recommend giving it a try.
