“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!”

“This place hits all the right notes! Food,service and beautiful place. I love all of the blendings and combinations of spices. The Chai was so good. Oh and the desserts are wonderful. I think it's very reasonably priced. My daughter and son- in-law took me here for my birthday as they know I really like this place! Hamir even had a special candle for me! I cannot recommend this place enough. I need to learn the correct names but the stuffed grape leaves were out of this world. I had chicken on their homemade bread - SO good! Go on a weekday if you can they’re super busy on the weekends but wonderful wonderful food!!!!”

“I’m no fan of sushi, so I can’t speak to that, but I LOVE hot-and-sour soup. I’ve been disappointed with the soup at several other restaurants in the area, but Wild Ginger’s version of it is PHENOMENAL! Loaded with wonderful stock and truly having a sour taste with a subtle kick of spicy. (It’s surprising how many restaurants do not have both.) I could have made a meal out of it. Will definitely be back.”

The coffee shop was immaculately clean, the staff was so friendly and efficient and most importantly the food and coffee were awesome. Definitely will recommend Gather 256 to all. To me it's the best coffee/cafe in York! Thank you to Tyler. Sarah Molly, and Nina (hopefully I have everyone that was there Sunday afternoon) for being so awesome on our first time there. “We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. He just really went above and beyond and was amazing! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you again! Food and drinks were 10/10!”

“I was there with a large group (20+) tonight 9/26. It was a busy Saturday night with multiple homecoming groups in addition to our own. Because our guests of honor were late, ordering became haphazard - an appetizer here, drinks, there, entrees there.

Our waiter, Mike, handled all of our requests cheerfully and accurately. The food runners did a great job amidst the confusion. The food came out much quicker than I would have expected with such a large group.

And the food was excellent.

He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. He always checked on us even if it was just for a napkin he’s that good Thank you again Garrett and Greg, the owner for making our day wonderful Thank you for an awesome time Bill and Debbie from Florida”

“Crumbl Cookies in York, PA is a cute and welcoming spot with a great smell as soon as you walk in. When I visited around 6:30 PM, it wasn’t very crowded, which made the experience feel relaxed.

However, the customer service could have been better. As a first-time customer, I felt there was very little guidance or explanation about the ordering process and the different cookie options.

The cookies themselves were good, although they were a little too sweet for my personal taste. Overall, I’d rate the experience 6/10. The location is cute, the atmosphere is nice, and it’s worth trying at least once.”

The girl on the phone said bring it with me. So I did. I went to pick it up; gave her the coupon and she looked at her coworker and showed it to him and she said I don't think we're taking this right now. So I told her it's from the menu I had at home and her response was "we go through phases of when we take them." Didn't even bother to ask management. Now there was no expiration date on it mind you and no one said that on the phone. So what started out as a 17.00 order was now 27.00. Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to avoid these types of reviews. GREAT customer service would have been easily accepting YOUR own coupon. If you go through "phases" don't print the coupon bc the consumer doesn't know when your phases take place. This could've easily been a 4 or 5 star. The food tastes great but the "phases" comment left me floored.”

“One of York’s hidden gems! We have eaten here several times and have never had a bad meal. In my opinion, consistency is what will bring you back to a restaurant time and time again. The Roosevelt Tavern is definitely one of those places. Atmosphere is very nice, quiet with great music in the background where you can actually have a conversation while enjoying your meal. “I've been here a few times and have ordered out a few dozen times. The food here is good if not very good in my opinion. The Cheese Steak is very good especially on their Turnover bread. The only complaint is a couple of times I felt they under performed on the amount of cheese steak and toppings. The Fries are very good and I've always got nice hot salted just right. The Hamburgers are very good and big enough with fries to fill you up. The pizzas Ive had have been great as well and my girlfriend likes the Chicken, Bacon Ranch one the most and she is not a pizza person. Being from the Philippines she is more of fish eater than American Food. She also like their Chicken Cheese Steak again she doesn't eat red meat at all because in the Philippines she never really ate it, it was to expensive. They have a great selection of beer too, if you go to pick up a little early you can drink something while waiting. Long review but I wanted to get one out since I have always liked my food from there so far. I saw a few really bad reviews about the owner which shouldn't have much to do with their food. Order pickup and you won't even know who the owner is. People get drunk in bars and get kicked out then give a bad review since they evidently did something to draw the owners attention.”

“Lasagna was DELISH. Pepperoni pizza was also good eaten as purchased and reheated. Salad and sub toppings were really fresh. If I could give it a 4 3/4 for food I would but I couldn't so I gave it a 5. Slight deduction was because I like my sub rolls a little thicker. Definitely worth stopping in for the lasagna meal alone.”

Plenty to do outside... miniature golf, arcades , basketball, and during summer on occasional weekends, he's been doing live entertainment. Only suggestion maybe update building . Plenty of picnic tables/seating outside”
