“Sooo delicious! Every bite was just so good! Home cooked - the carrot juice was so fresh! Mom was cooking and her daughters managed the table with so much kindness - excellent service. I cannot recommend this place enough. I need to learn the correct names but the stuffed grape leaves were out of this world. I had chicken on their homemade bread - SO good! Go on a weekday if you can they’re super busy on the weekends but wonderful wonderful food!!!!“

The pizza was great and we will definitely get take-out or go back again. We had, Eli as a server and he did a great job. They were a little slow on the food and service but can work out those kinks. “I cannot even begin to express how grateful we are for the kindness and exceptional service provided by Jim & Nena's. After a failed delivery with GrubHub it was much needed!! They were patient with GrubHub and my husband as all 3 worked together in rectifying the situation (which was no fault of the restaurant). They not only offered to deliver our order themselves (so we could stop dealing with GrubHub), but also gave us an additional pizza!! Ps. The bacon cheese fries were LOADED in cheese & bacon & they were absolutely delicious. We will certainly be stopping here more often (rather than ordering through GrubHub).“

“I have been ordering egg plant parm with side of spaghetti since Olive Gard opened in York. Best I have ever had until this evening. The egg plant was mushy and drown in sauce, so disappointed. I was with my family we were there celebrating my 83rd b-day. If I had been there with a small group I would have sent the egg plant back to the kitchen. Please see what is going on with my favorite. Service was out standing.“

“So hubby and I ate here today…. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible and the employees behind the wall greet you very nicely. We were seated immediately and our server Garrett oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. He was fantastic and every meaning of the word he was polite he was funny. He was happy. He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. He always checked on us even if it was just for a napkin he’s that good Thank you again Garrett and Greg, the owner for making our day wonderful Thank you for an awesome time Bill and Debbie from Florida“

“Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“
