34 Best Fast Food Restaurants in York

“We came here for my best friend’s daughter’s birthday dinner. This location went above and beyond! They accommodated our sensory kiddos, they handed out stickers, they even let our kiddos go back and make their own ice cream sundaes! I come here once a week anyway, but I love it even more now.“

“Dairy Queen has a nice combo deal that includes burger or chicken fingers, fries, drink and a small sundae. It is a great value. We enjoy the atmosphere and the music from the 50s playing in the background. It's always a fun lunch stop.“

“They ALWAYS get my Strawberry Lemonade wrong. It's either just Lemonade. Or they put a touch or strawberry in.
*Update 3-15-26* Drive thru only now and I ask for extra strawberry. Hit or miss through doordash still with drinks.“

“3/15/2026 2:30 pm
The food and service was good and the restaurant was clean. That's the first time I seen I fast food restaurant that clean. There was a young black girl taking out the trash I wish I have given her a tip for doing a good job. And I drove up from Baltimore“

“Excellent burgers and fries. My granddaughter loved the shake. Just a great place to eat.“

“Had a great experience at the Popeyes on East Market Street in York! The service was excellent from start to finish, and I especially want to shout out Humayan for being friendly, professional, and making sure everything was taken care of. It’s always nice to have an employee who genuinely cares about giving customers a good experience.“

“I usually don't leave reviews for fast food places because theyre all basically the same. Here however the woman with rhe nose ring who operates the drive through makes it worth it, she is the nicest person I've ever met at a drive through. If google would let me I would put 6 stars for service just because of her.“

“I stop by to thank Zoe for preparing my Blizzard just the way I like it! I only have one recommendation and it is for the store, I think they should update their system to be able to place the order through the app. I really don't come here because I don't accumulate points and I always have to order here. Much success and blessings!“

“Grabbed a bite to bring back to the hotel while visiting family. Food was hot, made right, and ready quickly. Staff was friendly. When I returned home to the west coast I forgot to update the selected restaurant & sent my order to this store by mistake. I called & the young man who answered got the manager (Melissa) immediately & she knew exactly how to fix the issue. She cancelled my order, so I could place a new one at the correct location. Great customer service & they didn’t make me feel silly or act like I was a burden. Huge relief!“

“I was traveling and stopped in the Drive-Thru on Saturday evening. The staff were so incredibly friendly to the extent where I have never written a review before for a fast food restaurant. And the food to include the fries were fresh. This visit exceeded my expectations.“

“so good. underrated for sure.or should I say unassuming spot. hidden gem. the sandwiches are pretty substantial. quick friendly service and fresh ingredients. my only complaint is I wish the pretzels and sticks were warm as well as the cheese. we prob could've asked them to heat it up but didn't. but like I said the food was amazing. def recommend!! sweet bologna was a great flavor combo. it was thin sliced too. mmmmm“

“First time I ever had a Jersey Mike’s sub. Had the roast beef. Delicious!“

“Just had a cheeseburger sib and peanut butter brain freezer omg hit the spot fresh vegetables including the pickles i highly recommend“

“It’s been a while since we last ordered a cake from Dairy Queen, but today we picked up an ice cream cake for my daughter, and it was absolutely phenomenal! If you’re getting one from the Queen Street location, be sure to ask for Allie—she did an amazing job, and you won’t regret it. Thank you, Allie!“

“My mom and I meet in York every other week and have lunch here. The food is good but they really need to have fresher rolls that they aren't falling apart when you eat them. We did bring it to their attention before.“

“best fresh sandwiches 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 never disappointed me always on point“

“I don’t come here often, but every time I do, the experience is amazing! The employees are so kind and weren’t just bland people with no emotion. They were all really helpful at making sure we were satisfied with our order. The place is really clean too and well maintained. There is a bathroom at the end of the building, which is also very clean. The pizza was quick at being made and tasted really good. The crust for mostly all the pizza is very thin though, so keep that in mind.“

“a beautiful clean well organized store. Have never seen seating area in a wawa and I’m from Chester Co, and visiting York family. The manager was great and the beverage guy Steve was so personable. Great store!!
Wendy and Diane“

“Food was fast, fresh and delicious. We enjoyed two b.e.c. priced a steal considering what you'd walk across the street and pay.“

“Friendly...welcomed as soon as I walked in. Extremely clean..prep bar exceptionally clean. Service was awesome....Tania was very nice...answered all my questions when asked options and ssssoooooo many to choose from!!!!... She was extremely polite.. I will visit this resturant if I am ever in the area because the service was amazing... and Tania's positivity!!!! Great job, MOD pizza!!!! BTW....the pizza was delicious!!!😀“

“I had an online order. When I got to Mod on Pauline Drive, the staff were very kind and friendly! It was definitely a different atmosphere than other Mods that I’ve been to. The prices are getting expensive, but coming to this Mod pizza was definitely worth it! Thank you!“

“It’s a good place to eat but the lady in the black sweatshirt that was working tonight blonde hair she needs to cool her tude a little bit if she did that to me I would have told her off. If she doesn’t like someone keep it to herself and not in front of customers. That is what drives business away and loses employees. This was at the Hanover location“

“We had been frequent visitors, but then stopped going because of how bad this location became (quality of food, customer service, and overall cleanliness). After many months, we gave it a new chance last night and were pleasantly surprised. The restaraunt was clean, customer service was fast and good, and the food was good. I am so glad that this location has seemingly turned around. We will be back as long as it stays this way!“

“Our first time here. It was nice and the service was great. We will Have try it again“

“They provide excellent service and everything is fresh.“

“DOEA NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! what did I get when I recieved my order.... nothing but 2 toasted sub rolls with ZERO meat.... nothing.... not a thing. one rol had mushrooms and that was it. guess that's what you get when you order 2 Italian subs with no mustard.... just bread. Look at these photos... these ridiculous photos to show how incompetent people can be. I will never return. Thanks for wasting my $35. Oh and they don't answer their phone either“

“I go here 3 or 4 times a week. What's my favorite place to get something for lunch, for work. They're very friendly and when you asked them to change what they normally do they have no problem doing it for you. The only place left where you can ask for extra anything or add something and it doesn't charge you extra money

Vegetarian options: You can order any sub without me and automatically makes a vegetarian or you can have them put it in a salad instead of on a sub.

Dietary restrictions: They can make any sub into a salad for you

Parking: There is about 15 to 20 parking spots but it's a shared location so there are other businesses that use those spots as well“

“Went to grab food yesterday afternoon and their credit card machine wasn’t reading my card at the kiosk, so I asked a cashier for help. Tried two different cards at the cashier and neither went through. They determined it was a problem with their machine, apologized and gave me an amazing discount for the inconvenience. Which, A, they didn’t have to do at all but B, we, especially my 13 y.o. were extremely grateful for 😊 (Taco Bell for dinner was his idea)
The ladies that helped me were very kind and patient with the situation. Thank you Dani, Laura & Ariel! You made Sunday night dinner a great experience 🥰“

“They listen to how you want your food“

“awsome service at drive thru. sat on front porch to eat since the mandatory closing of dining room.“

“The person at the drive-through window was extremely polite during my visit yesterday evening around 7:00 PM. This level of courtesy is not something we typically experience at a drive-through window, and I truly appreciated it. It made my visit very pleasant, and I left feeling genuinely happy with the service and courtesy.“

“I had to take a minute to share my experience here yesterday. I placed an order online, and I received a notice that my food was ready. I walked inside, and the store was filled with customers. The staff was busy. Even though things were busy, one worker looked around every so often at the room. She looked at me, asked if I was being helped, and I told her I had an online order. She asked my name, and she turned to the row of order slips and said something to another worker. That person immediately walked over to me, handed me cups, and said I could get my drinks and that she was sorry for the wait. It wasn't long after that, a different person announced that there would be a wait for a certain bread, but that they were happy to offer the others that she mentioned. A few people left, but others stepped up to order with the alternative options. No one behind the counter grumbled, and the food kept coming out consistently but slowly. I was very impressed at 1) staff attitude and willingness to make customers aware of what was going on and to make sure everyone had attention given to them; and 2)the food prep never stopped-these folks continued to work as a team to get orders filled. What professionals! I will tell others how customer friendly this store is, even under pressure. Thanks for my lunch on a very hot day!“

“I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by today. Greeted by very friendly employees and a clean dining room. The food area was very clean and fresh also. Best sandwich I’ve had from there in a long time!!“

“Italian herb, and cheese pepperoni and ham and ,mayonnaise, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers. Haven't been to a lot of sub ways, but I've been to more than a couple. This Subway in downtown York has the best bread. Probably because they cater to a lot of businesses here in downtown York City pa. They're always busy and friendly. extremely fresh it's the tastiest ! it's the one and only Brandy Hayes reporting to you with the tastiest and the finest here in York PA“
