I love diners, Astoria is no exception!
The food was spectacular! I'm a breakfast die-hard lol
Our waitress was amazing!
It was a little packed, understandably, when we first sat down- but cleared out quickly!
We'll be back!

Their breakfast is really good the bacon was cooked perfectly just how I like it and the eggs were great. It was a bit expensive for me but the food is definitely better than some other places I've had.

Wow, what a great find! My wife and I were hungry after peddling the rail car bike in nearby Seven Valley. We try to eat locally at a family owned restaurant when visiting a new area. This place exceeded our expectations. I had the house made meatloaf and my had the stuffed meatloaf (turkey & dressing inside). Both meals were fantastic. The portions are huge, the mashed potatoes excellent, the side salad was perfect, and the rice soup was great too. Service was prompt and friendly and the price was unbelievable. Less then 25 bucks for both of us. For a complete, dine-in meal for 2 that is very uncommon these days! If we're ever in York, PA again we will definitely eat here.

We came here a second time specifically for the gyro. It did not disappoint. My hubby has traveled the world and said it’s the best he has ever had, believe him. Our server, Wendy, was wonderful. She has passion for her profession and it shows in her duty to service. She made us feel at home. We could eat the tzatziki with a spoon, the pita is fluffy enough to lay your head on and the BEEF? Forget about it, flavor on point and so tender! Even the tomatoes were red, plump and juicy. Do yourself a favor get the extra tzatziki, dip your fries, chips or fingers! And trust me the price is prefect!

I use to like eating here, until a friend of mine didn’t like his breakfast. So we kindly let the owner know and he wavy his hand saying (GO! Goodbye lol 😂) It’s not like we was looking to eat free breakfast. I just was so disappointed on how we were treated. Never again will I eat at this place!
The staff makes you feel like family. Everyone is so friendly and upbeat. Tessa. Kendra and Arla are GREAT!! They keep the coffee flowing. Food is great and is served very quickly. Clean and tidy restaurant. Tina is very accommodating. We will continue to be regular customers
My breakfast was excellent. And their scrapple is one of the best I've had. Loved they way they cooked it
Great French toast. Nice eggs and 🥓. Needed paper towels in bathroom. Nice place
After coming here most Sundays or Saturdays for 17 years, we will never be back. Tessa the one waitress argues too much and is always there. The place is nothing fabulous, but was our spot. The arguing between waitresses, loud for all to hear is ridiculous. The reason we chose not to return, the table cloths are filthy, food dripping and spills down the edges. You do get cups with lipstick or silverware with buildup and the nastiness that some of the waitresses were saying as they talked about customers, not us thank heavens, was disappointing and disgusting. A lot of older people choose to eat here and making fun of the elderly is gross. Lastly, if you finally get seated, don't worry, they will move you sometimes several times, carrying your food because they need your seat for someone else who has come in to dine. We were moved and told by this Tessa that we will sit where ever the hell she wants us to sit. This wasn't a funny haha! joke...and was in front of the packed restaurant. Not whining but simply stating find somewhere else to go. Where you can eat in peace, not paying 50 cents extra now per egg used to make your omelet, yes they are now charging that. Have a clean table to rest your plates on, know the waitresses aren't mocking or making fun of you, you won't need to ask for a clean cup 3 or more times, your fork doesn't have build up from 10 people before you and the arguing loudly across the restaurant and sitting bar, isn't all you hear over breakfast.
