ordered from the drive-through yesterday at Dave’s Hot Chicken and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
I ordered 2 sliders with fries. The chicken was over-fried to the point that it tasted burnt. You could clearly taste that the spices were burned, and it made the sliders almost inedible.
We also ordered a Small Top-Loaded Spicy Buffalo Mac. I specifically asked for a small, but was charged for a large. I decided not to argue about it, but the portion issue was frustrating. The chicken inside the mac was actually better than the sliders, but overall the dish still wasn’t great.
On top of that, we ordered a Small Fruity Pebbles Top-Loaded Shake, and it was very watery — almost completely melted by the time we got it.
Overall, it was a very poor experience and not what I expected. I hope they improve their quality control and accuracy with orde

Place is crap. Food is bland, previously frozen garbage. The tenders will often sit for HOURS before being served and are just dropped back into the fryer when ordered. Staff does NOT wash hands after restroom visits.

It's different chicken! The different spice levels are cool, and the planks of chicken are large. Dave's sauce is amazing! Pretty much 8 tables and chairs for them, no real atmosphere, but it was clean and the restaurant is still pretty new.

Great friendly service. Food was great also. Being from home of hot chicken, I will say this chicken is pretty close to Nashville Hot Chicken. Dave's hot is not quite as hit as Hattie's hot. Will definitely try again when in the area.
