Recently got a dozen extra large crabs, seasoned to perfection, awesome crabs, found one extra large that was very light, but discovered they put a extra crab in the dozen, sure most places would not do that, recommend Dotties for great crabs, thankyou !

I ordered from doordash. I have never ordered at potties before. I was very excited to have seafood for a relaxing Sunday at home and not have to go anywhere. I was wrong....we got our order and couldn't eat it. I ordered seasoning not the whole bottle! It was so salty it burned our mouths, I ordered drawn butter we received the milk from the butter...no butter! I will not be coming back. With today's prices and I elation you get one try with me you blew it dotties. I had to take the order 20 minutes away back just to get a refund. I am beyond pissed.

I stopped in and had the fried oyster sandwich, cole slaw and onion rings. When I bit into the oyster sandwich, it was just mush. I could not eat it. I gave it to my spouse. I did not know what to expect, for it was the first time for an oyster sandwich. On our way home, we had to stop because I got violently ill. Well there was $50 down the drain. I suffered with stomach pains all night.

Stopped in yesterday my spouse and myself got fried oyster sandwich. The staff was friendly. But I'm thinking either the oysters were no good or not cooked right because about 30-40 minutes after we left we both got sick. We just brought our 50.00 meal back up in the toilet. We were sick all night.

See a lot of negative comments about hard shell crabs. I’m a huge fan of hard shell crabs and have gotten a lot of dozen of LG & XL throughout years of Dottie’s and when was T&T seafood I think crabs are great and decently priced. Local in Dover so nice to have them warm by the time you get home!
Went into order a sandwich and they realized the grills weren't on after being open for almost an hour. They kept checking on the food using their bare hands to see if my food was getting warm or not. They probably touched my food five times without any gloves. Got my money back and left before they served the food. Get a health inspector out there.

ordered half dozen "medium" crabs today to give them a try. worst crabs I've ever had. what a waste of money. if the meat in them wasn't dry and tasted weird it was mushy and not even edible. NEVER AGAIN. not sure how their crabshack stays in business with what they are putting out? also I would hate to see what their smalls crabs look like because their mediums were definitely smalls compared to other places around york.

I really hate to be the person to leave a negative review for any business I love the new dotties grocery store and was very excited that they added the Crab shack, and before I give this review I will mention I grew up in Baltimore so maybe I'm spoiled I haven't ordered crabs from anywhere for 2 years because of the prices but now that there are slightly more reasonable I was excited to order some from Dottie's I specifically requested extra seasoning and even though they would have been considered small during normal times they were called mediums and unfortunately they were extremely small but even that was not my complaint I would have made do and just been happy to finally have some crabs after 2 years. unfortunately for me when I got them home which by the way was a 40 minute round trip 20 minutes to and 20 minutes back I opened up the bag to find that not only did I not get extra seasoning I literally got almost no seasoning at all I don't know how you would send crabs out in the bag under any circumstances that don't have seasoning on them unless it was a special request after discovering this and everyone being disappointed as soon as we open the bag and dump them out I immediately called Dotty's to mention the problem I even took pictures of the crabs so I could show them that I wasn't exaggerating I was informed by the manager that she expected me to put all the crabs back in the bag drive the 40 minute round trip again for them to "redo" them but there's no such thing as redoing crabs if you resteam them the meat gets mushy and the only way to get the seasoning to stick is to put it on the crabs before you steam them so I asked if maybe I could get a little bit off my next purchase with the picture showing the problem I just spent $120 and would have been more than happy to accept a $10 discount on my next purchase but that was not an option she insisted I had to drive there again with no idea how far I lived or anything so unfortunately I will not be going back to Dotty's and all I can recommend to anyone reading this review is to open the bag and thoroughly check for seasoning and as we used to do I would ask to physically see the size of the crab before ordering they were the smallest mediums I've ever had and I'm 56 anyway I wish this had went better I think $10 off my next order would have been a better deal for everybody rather than losing a customer and getting a negative review. one last note one of the biggest issues is crabs are so hard to find around here so they are slammed busy which was obvious by the tone of her voice that she didn't care about losing one customer they're busy enough not to care about it was a waste of $120 but they didn't just lose me I guarantee the other five people that were here to enjoy the two dozen crabs will also never buy crabs here and will probably also be adding their own post so $10 has now turned into what will most likely be 5 negative reviews I believe they call that pennywise and dollar foolish they are not the only steam crab place around I would shop around I know we've had great crabs from Bob's in Red Lion. if Icould post pictures on here I would if I can figure it out I will post them later

Crabs were very small and light. 50.00 dozen for a S,M,L mix no mix it was 11 small and 1 med. That was the special we called and they said bring them we don't care they just opened awful attitude. Never again.
