From coatesville,but had business to handle walked into this market with multiple shops but Ethel's they seemed happy to be there music playing and there demeanor drew me over there.. I got a chicken dinner and fish platter. The fish was superb and hot like freshly cooked, the cabbage I was skeptical cuz I ain't see any seasoning but it was hella good 💯. The Mac was good but would of been better if it was hot. The chicken perfect, I like mine fried a little longer but it didn't disappoint,the potato salad was cool I didn't really care for it...They also had cake and rice crispy treats I grabbed a treat while waiting delicious. The service was good the cooks were cheerful in doing their job. I believe the owner helped me with making sure I got ketchup cuz I was offered hot sauce but don't really eat hot sauce.. it was a clean environment and black owned a plus. If I'm ever in that area again I'll definitely be back! Me and my friend ate food in car because I tried to taste little piece but couldn't do that. Anyway I HOPE THIS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO PROSPER.. AND SHOT OUT TO THE NICE YOUNG LADY THAT TOOK OUR ORDER THERESNO DOWNSIDE EXCEPT FORGOT TO GIVE US UTENSILS TO EAT WITH BUT WE WERE STILL THERE SO MY FRIEND JUST RAN BACK IN N GOT SOME. BUT CHECK THEM OUT. NEX TIME IMA HAVE TRY THE BBQ

Driver in a maroon Dodge pick up truck, cut me off and then flipped ME the bird lol. Little did he know I am a customer. They are always late and never taste good. I do not recommend them. This was around 8:45 AM near HACC, they were heading to Route 30 in west York. :)

My first visit here came with high expectations as I'm on the hunt for exceptional fried fish, preferably lake trout, which seems to be impossible here in York City. Unfortunately they were out of many food items ? due to an upcoming event at the Crispus Attucks York Community Center. Good for them bummer for me. I was able to try the fish - whiting - meh. And the collards - meh. And the 'beef ribs?' - no. Maybe it was a bad day. I will try another time.

We ordered a staff lunch at our business and we are very pleased with the quality and quantity of the meal. It was excellent. Pulled pork, barbecue ribs, fish and chicken wings topped off with savory baked beans and refreshing coleslaw. All very fresh, garnished perfectly and cooked to perfection. It was a great treat and appreciated all around.

People were arriving and ordering before me and I'm just standing patiently in line waiting to be served looking directly into the cashier/owner's eyes like, "really"? Cmon get it together, I was willing to spend money on soul food but now this soul will find food elsewhere
