I stopped by Fig & Barrel for a quick lunch but left disappointed. There were only a few patrons, yet the service was slow and inattentive. I ordered a personal pizza and a side Caesar salad, expecting them to come out promptly, but waited 15-20 minutes for my pizza without receiving my salad. I had to remind the bartender/food runner about the salad, which arrived right after – it seemed to have been sitting there all along. I ended up declining it, as it should have been served before my main course, especially with few other guests. What should have been a quick meal turned into a longer, unpleasant wait that ruined my appetite. Disappointing experience given the low crowd and simple order. This kind of experience is exactly why some businesses struggle to stay open. Consistent delays and inattentive service, especially when the restaurant isn’t busy, can drive potential repeat customers away. It’s unfortunate because a simple focus on timely service could make all the difference.

Fig and Barrel is such a comfy, cozy place to hang out.. The atmosphere is so down to earth with a rustic luxury feel and The bar area is so well put together. We met Sean the bartender that day and had such a great time. He paid attention to our needs and spent time with us as we made a connection to him and the place itself. We understand that Nate and Lisa own the place and Lisa is in charge of atmosphere and the food selections and Nate the bar area. I am sure they do it all the food was outstanding, we had the tomato soup and the best chicken and spinach grilled cheese. Great items together. we had a delicious beer with the cinnamon around the rim I live in New York and this was my second time there and every time i come to the area i will be going there

Fig and Barrel is a York City staple. Excellent hand crafted cocktails. Bartenders here are awesome and make everyone feel welcome.
The food is also excellent so far had wings and pizza, both are fantastic and buffalo sauce and blue cheese are all made in house.
Do yourself a favor and check them out. Even if you are craving a late night bite and drink as the kitchen here is open till 1AM on Friday and Saturday evenings!

RUDE bartenders. Ordered a Margarita. God only knows what they made me, but it wasn't what I requested. 4 of my friends tasted and agreed. Soft pretzel was fine.?? I do not recommend their margarita pizza. ?? Maybe everyone was having a bad night, but very negative energy.
Went here for a nice birthday dinner, decided to splurge a little. Upon being seated it was clear that they were understaffed for a Thursday evening. On top of that they had a wedding dinner reserved in the whole back. My family and I waited 25 min for each drink and over 50 min for our food. I ordered the duck confit and after taking a bite the salt burnt my tongue. My brother also tried it whome has made it before and spit it out. They did remove it off my bill after telling them it was inedible, but then the owner? Tried to explain to me what duck confit is which was insulting on its own as my mouth was still being assaulted by the burns from the dishes sodium. I have never been so disappointed in a dish at a restaurant. Sever was amazing though and so was the live jazz. Also they had 2 people wait for 45 min each separately for a job interview I wanted to tell them to run!

Fantastic pub with a truly authentic feel! The atmosphere was instantly right, and then our drinks came, and they were superb. I ordered the "apple bacon grilled cheese" and it was a great sandwich. The savory elements married perfectly with the sweetness of the apple slices. And the tots that came with the sandwich were probably the best I have ever had! Will definitely return.

We arrived at 1 pm on a Wednesday. Only a few other patrons were present, so it was quite laid back and quiet. We ordered an Old Fashioned and a Hibiscus Margarita, followed by the Grilled Cheese w/ Apple and Bacon and the Lox Toast. Everything we had was flavorful and delicious. Two drinks and two entrees were about $50 total. We don't get to downtown York often, but this place may be worth a special trip. Kudos to the staff.

I'm in a band called Lady King & The Aces and fig n barrel has been my favorite spot to gig at so far. I really love the food and atmosphere and the bar tender Charlie. Really great spot to go for some drinks and food. Highly recommend the tater tots but honestly everything on the menu is delicious.
