I was in this establishment today and let me say I left very unpleased. I get there with my girlfriend when they had barely opened up and took a few to get seated so I understand that. I ordered the oxtails with cabbage and sweet yams. The oxtails were mostly fat with no seasoning except for the gravy that they were covered in. The cabbage had zero seasoning other than the salt and pepper that I put on myself. The sweet yams were ok at best because they were not all the way completely tender. My girlfriend got the coconut curry chicken and said the seasoning and flavor was lacking in her order. I thought some of the negative reviews were wrong until I experienced it for myself.

Last week was my first time here and it was wonderful! The staff at the counter could not have been sweeter. I placed a to-go order ahead of time. I ordered the oxtails with rice/beans and cabbage, the Rasta pasta, and a beef patty (similar to an empanada but didn’t seem to be fried, rather baked) to share with friends for dinner. The beef patty didn’t make it home ? The Rasta Pasta with chicken was DELICIOUS! Plenty of sauce but not so much that everything was drowning. There was a wonderful depth of flavor. The pasta itself was cooked to a perfect al dente. The oxtails were pretty good as well! I’ve had ones I enjoyed more at another place but these are definitely next in line at 2nd place to those. If I had to give a couple tiny critiques, it would be that the oxtail could have been a little bit more tender and the rice and beans seemed a bit dried out. The cooked cabbage was easily the best I’ve ever had though! It was cooked perfectly - still had its green coloring and was tender. I’ve already been back once since last week and plan to patron often!

I travel to York often and I was in the mood for some Jamaican cuisine...I searched on Google and I'm so glad I choose this spot I got the Jerk wings and Curry Chicken with rice&bean and veggies ? I made it all the way to Maryland and dug in it was so good seasoned perfect..also the set up inside the restaurant is so nice very nicely decorated classy and it smells so good ...the owner was nice also ? I will definitely be back ??

This place has really fell off. Thought I give it another chance after my last visit. What a mistake. I ordered Brown Stewed Chicken Rice and Beans and Plantain. What I got did not taste anything like brown stew, rice was dry and tasteless, very little cabbage, plantain was ok. My son ordered the Curry Salmon, no seasoning, not pleasant. Very disappointed! I will not return.
