Great wall used to be our favorite chinese spot, however the food quality has went downhill. We ordered general tso chicken, shrimp chow mein, shrimp egg roll and crab rangoon totaling $32. They forgot the noodles for my shrimp chow mein, the general tso chicken was mostly fried batter with only about 4 pieces of chicken in the whole container. The egg roll & crab rangoon was very skimpy on filling as well. I've never encountered this here before. There was a decent amount of shrimp in the chow mein but without the noodles it was mostly rice, celery & onions.

Best Chinese food in the area. Consistency is key and Great Wall has it in both quality and quantity of food. I always order online and when I go into the store to pick up my order, the phone is ringing off the hook and several people are in the store placing orders. It’s a true testament to how popular their food is. The staff works incredibly hard, no one ever stands still. It’s worth any wait you may have for your order.

Best value lunch for the price around. Basically it fills a full grown man for 6.50 and everything I have tried has been delicious. I call in and its done in 10 15 minutes. Service is great. Not much of a dining area so better for take out.

I buy here on a regular from time to time and the last time I order 2 orders of pork fried rice with sesame chicken there was hair in my food. I called they told me they’ll make another one, when I took it back I didn’t get an apology or anything. The cook was like “here” he didn’t want me talking bout it I’m guessing since there was a customers there. Will not be coming back to a place that doesn’t even wear hair nets and serve hair in their chicken.

Great family restaurant 👌
5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love the house special lomein, the food was made quickly and was hot and delicious, also the won ton soup is very good, and they include pieces of pork in it which a lot of restaurants no longer do. That's a big plus in my book
Best in York
