I cannot explain how good this sandwich was. I had the chicken bacon ranch and the Black Friday special so far and I am HOOKED!!! I ordered online so I didn't notice a wait but when I say I would wait the hour and pay more than what they are charging for these sandwiches I mean it. Bar none one of the best grinders/hoagies I have ever had in my 28 years on this planet. Keep it up.

I was in awe of how incredibly stupid their ordering system was. Cold subs you wait in line, then to order a hot sub you proceed to wait in line again behind everyone waiting for their pick up orders or paying. Then you wait again for the hot sub to be made. Absolute chaos. Not worth it for a hoagie or shall I call it a meat log. If you have an hour to kill before you get your food then this is your spot. The meat logs have a lot of meat...big deal. The prices reflect it.

A "Birthday Celebration", concluded with your AWESOME traditional cheesesteak sandwiches! My family traveled more than 3 hours, VA to PA each way, in rainy weather and horrendous traffic. Worth the hype! Watched this little spot gain fame on a Facebook hoagie group. When we found ourselves nearby, we had to give it a shot. Split a cheesesteak which was great and got cold subs to take with us to Williams grove later that day. S.O. chatted with the friendly staff about how far we traveled and got a good laugh about that. It located in a “food hall” in a historic building. Parking nearby in a garage was a breeze and found an Asian food stall where we also snacked on some fantastic noodles.

This is my favorite hoagie spot at Penn Market! I had their hoagies for the first time when I worked at the farmers market for an old employer. The small subs are a decent meal for the price and the Hefty size is two large meals if not more. Their signature tuck and roll construction keeps all your lettuce, onion, tomato, etc inside the bun so each bit has a little bit of everything.Their ingredients are always good quality and satisfie that craving for a good hoagie.

I just experienced my first hoagie from Hefty Lefty’s and had to take a break from eating to write this review. I ordered the Balboa Hefty Hoagie and it did not disappoint! This hoagie is absolutely packed with meat, cheese, and toppings! As other reviews stated, Hefty’s wraps the meat and cheese around the toppings to create a log so you get to experience proportionate amounts of everything in one bite. One hefty sub for me will easily provide 2 or 3 meals. I ordered my hoagie online due to my work schedule and inability to stand in a long line at market during the week. The delivery times can be longer than stated; it took 3 hours for the hoagie to be delivered yesterday but it was TOTALLY worth the wait! I hope they eventually move to a brick and mortar location outside of downtown for more space, as they seem to be wildly popular and very busy! The hoagie was very well-wrapped in thick, white paper. This is easily the best hoagie I’ve had since I visited White House Subs in Atlantic City, NJ 10 years ago! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of the best hoagies on the planet!
