Mesa Moreira did an amazing job with the rehearsal dinner for my wedding in October! Every one of our guests raved about the food, sangria and atmosphere, and Christie, Steve and their team are top-notch. This has become one of our family’s favorite places to dine in York.

My family went here for my son’s 8th birthday. He chose the restaurant because of the pictures of the food on the website. I notified the restaurant that we were coming for a special 8th birthday dinner. Let me tell you, this place went above and beyond. They had a special table with a gift when we arrived. The entire place greeted us with “happy birthday!” when we arrived. Steve, the owner, came to the table to say hello and welcome us. That was just the beginning. The food was incredible. Our waitress was excited to spend the time with us and I don’t think we waited more than a few minutes for drinks or refills or the next course. For 2 hours we didn’t see anyone in the place not having a great time. All of the employees and servers seemed happy to be there. Steve came by and we got some great pictures. The food is another amazing aspect altogether. The sausage is smoky with a crispy outside. The pasta and seafood dishes were outstanding. Not one person in our group wasn’t raving about how delicious their meals were. When we left, other guests were saying happy birthday to my son. Entire family gives this place 5 stars and my 8 year old says that he “chose the best place in the entire city.” We agree. We will definitely be back.

The interior space is beautiful, clean, and minimalistic. The chairs, to me, were very uncomfortable, you couldn't lean back without leaning way back. The food was good. Our server was very attentive, but almost too attentive. I felt slightly rushed, due to the server coming over constantly to clear plates, present desserts, and the check. I would go back, but don't feel like I would make it a point to go back.

Nicest owner, as well as the best service and food you could ask for. Everything was wonderful and it was a lovely experience. The owner treats you as if you are family and is warm and welcoming. The staff is also wonderful and very attentive. If you haven’t come here yet, you should.
I absolutely love this place and glad they opened up downtown. The food is great always good portions as well for a good price. The staff is always friendly and the owners you can tell really care about their business. I wish this place all the best and will continue to eat here as my favorite place to eat out.

My family was visiting York this past weekend. While walking past this restaurant, my mom fell to the sidewalk and gashed her head. (Please note that this was no fault of the restaurant--we found all of the downtown York sidewalks challenging due to the sometimes uneven combination of concrete and brick.) While we were frantically trying to get the bleeding stopped and awaiting the ambulance, the staff of this restaurant was amazing! They came out to check on us multiple times, offering napkins and water, and asked if there was anything else they could do. It was so incredibly kind of them to offer help! My mom required stitches but will be fine. We will absolutely have to come eat at this restaurant when we return to York. Thank you so much for your kindness! You are truly wonderful people. ?

I went here with friends the other night for dinner. The food was incredible. I loved it so much, I've been thinking of just ordering it weekly for takeout. I can't stop thinking about how good it was. I had the garlic chicken entree & made a special request for fresh grilled pineapple on top, which the owner was more than happy to accommodate. He was super friendly and engaging, as was his family. I watched in awe at some other tables who had ordered tableside flaming meats. The atmosphere was very casual and cozy. I will DEFINITELY be back!!
